So I've been running a list in our local travel league for the last 2 months that in theory should work but the dice have not gone my way at all and I find myself 0-4 and in dead last out of 32. I mean I lost to a 12 year old Sunday who popped every tank on 1 shot and took my flyer down with 1 lucky pen from a snap shot. By turn 3 I had 1 vindicator with no gun and a bunch of troops stranded randomly around the table...I need to change things up. My list was without going into specifics Libby, 2 Sang Priests, Full Assault, Full Tac with RBack, Large DC with Chap in LRR, 2 Baals, 2 Vindi, and a Stormraven. 6 tanks and a flyer and I swear everything gets popped 1 shot. I mean he seriously went 6 to hit, 6 to pen, 6 to explode on my SR. So my new list I've been messing with.

Libby and Corbulo in LRR with Assault. Flamer Baal outflanks while Bolter Baal plays keep away. JP Assault Marines DS as I see necessary. Scouts play up near an objective or such giving DS zero scatter. Ravens are strictly gunships.

I like it but I don't think you can take 3 hand flamers or 2 infernius pistols with your assault squads. Just the sarge can the hand flamers and infernius pistol. Also with the libby use unleash rage instead of blood lance. Your assaulting out of the LR. Some rage would help. Other than that good luck.

For every 5 assault marines 1 may take a special plus the sergeant may take 1 as well. I like Blood Lance..it isd a really decent shooting attack plus you can use it the turn you charge. I've unleashed a few that with proper positioning hit multiple targets in 1 shot then charge in. I think I would take might of heroes over unleash rage...If I wanted a skill like that why not just put a chaplain with them and reroll all misses? I don't mean to bash your suggestion just strongly disagree with this one...i feel for a base 100pt libby these are by far the 2 best spells. Automatically Appended Next Post: I considered dropping the scouts and giving the Libby a JP to go with the infernus squad and taking a base chappy to go in the LR but I think I need the bodies...anyone disagree?

You lost certainly can take them, but that doesn't mean you should.
Meltaguns and flamers are superior so the xtra attack doesn't mean anything in here.
The only reason I'd ever concider the pistol versions is for the looks.
Oh, and SS on a T4 character with only one wound? Too pricey.
The rest seems ok, altough I don't see the point in searchlights everywhere.
And the beacon? Yea, you don't scatter but you only scatter D6 normally and now you're restricting yourself to Land near the Scouts to get advantage.
Not to mention that as they have Snipers so they should hang back.

I think you should ditch the LR for TH/SS termis... if you put curbulo in front, it really lets him shine. 2+ FNP tanking anything not double his toughness, LOS anything else. they can just walk up the field.
The Baal Preds I think should both have flamestorm and heavy bolters... they can scout move then regular move right up to the enemy and flame them, and finish the rest with the bolters. If it gets immobilized, which seems to happen to me alot, you still have heavy bolters.
I really don't think you need Curbulo if you are putting him with an assault squad... just get a regular priest. With the extra points get a JP for the libby and put him with the ASM.
I really do think that unleash rage is the best choice... it lets the whole squad re-roll ones to hit and to wound correct? that is pretty good for ASM.
