Just curious what your MBTI(Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) is and what your favorite army is. Be it playstyle, fluff-wise, look, or any combination of it at all.
And while it's not very possible to type an entire army, I'd just like to see if anyone has any opinions on particular Armies and what MBTI would go along with it, and why.

I'll start, I'm an ENTP, My current Army is Orks because of the unlimited possibilities of conversions and scratch builds. I also like the comedic value they add.

I'll also add that I most wish for an Adeptus Mechanicus army. Or Demiurg But over the years I've had Tau, Space Wolves, and necrons

Don't know what a "MYer-Briggs-type-indicator" is....

Generally I tend to plan for Armies. Armies not "forces of 1500 pts called army" that is.
And I am typically running Humans, not space fantasy races in space. But I also like the 'ancients civ type', so Crons are in too.
Basically, favorite Army is IoM combined forces and their cron friends.

This should clear things up.

No idea what mine is. Never took the test.

My type is INTJ. I've been playing Guard for years, but have dabbled with many other armies at one time or another.

Guard suits my personality type, because I can build a multitude of plans into a single list. "Flexible" list design is something I prefer, over highly focussed lists. I'd rather have a box of various tools, rather than a slim selection of highly specialized tools.

In particular, I view the game of 40k as an exchange of resources, with a goal of accomplishing the mission objectives. Guard have units that I can "sacrifice" in both fluff and function, without crippling my ability to exercise my game plan.

Is there a free way to take this test online or something?
Now I'm curious.

There are many free MBTI tests floating about.

Here's a quick one:

and a more in depth 72 question yes or no:

Apparently, I'm an INFP (according to short) or an INTP (according to long).

I play Orks, Necrons and Lizardmen.

Lizards and crons because I like the models. Orks because I was attracted to the every-goes aspect of their conversions.

I took the "72" question version. While notably skeptical during the test... typical of my personality type... I did come up with INTJ. So there's one positive vote for it.

INTJ (as expected, it's what I always get on these things).

I play Sisters almost exclusively at this point, though I do have a small CSM force and a small Ork force (no more than 500 points in either).

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

INTP here. but it looks like the I and N are on the border of being E and S. So either INTP or ESTP. but I am most definitely a T. that got the highest score.

I play Orks and Black Templar. Both CC armies.

What's funny, and obvious, is that INT personalities know what their MBTI types are without needing to take the test.

INTJ and SoB.

What drew me to the SoB was their fluff, mostly. Fanatical zealot-soldiers using sheer faith to hold their own in 40K's brutal galaxy. I also like their aesthetics and playstyle.

Don't really see how that really syncs with my personality type, though. But that's fine, these are pretty broad evaluations anyway.

Order of the Righteous Armour - 542 points so far.

ISTP, Tyranids are my favourite and only army. It'd be interesting to see what sort of trends emerge from this, are you making some sort of record?

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

ENTJ- Blood Angels, then GK and Sisters. I like aggressive armies and the aesthetics of each as well as their play styles (fast assault, elite assault, zealots in power armor with meltas).

And wow, a lot of INTs on here, makes sense. Cool thread, I had a leadership class in college that utilized the Meyers-Briggs typing as a basis for leadership styles and how groups function, interesting stuff.
