Thats great, I'm glad you are digging the rule! After you play a few games let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions, I'd love to hear all about it! yeah wargames factory boxes are actually spectacular deals for the amount of mini's and bits you get. I didn't even use all of mine from the survivor box. All my left overs I'm going to use as terrain extras (dead bodies, weapon racks ect). I'm using mantic as my fantasy undead army.. they work really well too.

Got a ton of new updates pouring out for anyone interesting in supporting the Kickstarter! Thought the "patient zero" was a wicked model, got something else that could give your survivors a real bad day!

Any one know where to get a suitable Deuce & a Half truck that is suitable for use with 28MM models? I would like to have one to use as an extraction method in this BioSyndrome game. If I can not find one, I guess I can always convert one of my ork trukks.

Bolt Action has some half tracks. Good price, as well.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Felmid: I think your gonna like them. I like the Shock Troops Great Coats as well for the Coalition. I also have some Dream Forge storm troopers I'm fixing up.

I used the Mantic Zombie apokalypse box set for my zombies but I'm left kinda underwhelmed with the armored zombie optioned. Open to suggestions.

For any of you backers here: I made up some nice profile backer pictures to help spread the infection! 26 days to go and we still need to hit those stretch goals!

Byte: I have a ton of links to 28mm soldier minis. A few are zombies / most you'd have to convert. Let me know if you need them!

Please help share the project, we need your support! Here is one of 10 that I made, the rest you can find on the facebook page link below.

This is exactly what I was looking for. There is also a great deal of decently priced models that would work for terrain as well. Thanks for the heads up.

The card design looks nice. Looks like I may have to dig some of my old fantasy minis out of cold storage. My fantasy minis have not seen the light of day in years, but having the opportunity to play both modern shoot 'em up style and sword & sorcery style with the same rule set is just sounding too good to pass up. Keep up the good work.

ouuuuu what kind of goodies do you have locked away!?? any OOP chaos warriors? Looking for some for the dragon army troops.

yeah the rule book has a little bit of everything for everyone! A "jack of all trades" rule book. ha!

Thanks I'm glad you are liking the cards, the modern one should be coming out soon along with the master miniature model.. Lots of goodies on the horizon!

Yeah it has a fantasy version, a modern version and a rpg version. a little bit of something for everyone! Glad you are liking the rule book, it's of course a WIP still though it is coming along nicely and looks to have a bright future!

Small world! I'll get back to you tonight, wrapping up my workday and thinking about dinner.

Congrats on funding, hopefully you can hit just as hard the last week (expect a lull between now and then but don't let it discourage you)

I am not exactly certain what all I have from WFB. When I was in the GW Outrider program I got free stuff all the time before it was even released to the public, (those were the good old days.) Then I got into 40K real heavy and the WFB stuff just piled up and then later got put in my storage. I may dig that stuff out in the near future and see what (new) old stuff I will have to play with.

I downloaded the v2.0 rulebook and was actually going to ask what you used to make it, because I'm writing up a miniature game ruleset myself... but you already answered the question. Not to mention that a better alternative was immediately suggested.

Anyway, I'll probably back this in any case, from one designer to another.

Hi Andilus!

You are most welcome here! I'm quite open to any suggestions or feedback you may have! Yes i used photoshop to design version 2.0, though many have suggested indesign. I have started to familarize myself with the program. Photoshop doesn't have as much control over the text as indesign has. Glad to hear you are planning on backing the project! What kind of game are you designing if you don't mind me asking? I can offer advice, especially when it comes to launching a KS.. I've learned quite alot in the past month and could help you avoid some common pitfalls as it were.

@ Msears: me too! if all goes well and I keep up with at least the current pace I'll be able to hit a couple stretch goals! That will be a huge plus for all current backers as it means additional juicy rewards for most backers!

@ Felmid: Sounds like you have a treasure trove of goodies! that is quite exciting. Who knows you might have a few good armies for the game waiting for your paint brush!

Other news: the master miniature for "patient zero" will be available for show later this week! Patient zero is coming, ready your survivors and troops! Really hoping we can reach the stretch goal to send the master off to the caster for all backers 25$ and up!

I'll have to get through your rulebook a bit more (I leafed through the other day at work ), but it looks like a lot of fun for last stand-style missions.

The ideas I've been working on sort of branched off of 40k, with players taking turns activating units and spending AP on actions. I'm also planning on making it scalable, although with emphasis on characters and ideally campaign play. It's sort of a spin-off of a cooperative RPG I was involved in a few years ago, although I can see the rules adapting well to another character-based property like Dynasty Warriors. Still not 100% sure if I'm going to go for the big time with it, but it's fun just writing out the ruleset at the moment.

feel free to ask any questions, I'd be happy to answer! Did you look through v1.9 or 2.0?

yeah writing a rule book can be a lot of fun. Especially if you have a few friends to help! Sounds like a neat system, kind of reminds me of space hulk with a dash of fallout 1 (pc game). I actually considered a mechanic like that but decided to go with what i have now. Let me know if you need any help, i'm a bit busy now but perhaps further down the road I may be of assistance.

Yeah, I've loved strategy games for a long time, now that I think about it I think I'm drawing inspiration from a lot of sources: Warhammer 40k and Fantasy, the original Fallout, X-COM, 40k: Squad Command, Fire Emblem, etc. I'm getting close to nailing down the main rules, at which point I'll have to get in some playtesting before deciding if I want to go further with this thing.

Anyway, I looked through v2.0. I'm actually pretty eager to try out the ruleset, I can just imagine that I'll be the one who jams all his guns though when the zombies break through. It'll just be nice to have smaller-level games after all the bloat 40k's been going through in the past few months.

yep I grew up playing strat games.. final fantasy tactics, shining force 1-2, fallouts, baldurs gates, icewind dales ect. Love those games (keep your eye on pillars of eternity)! Glad you are looking forward to trying out the game. I'm working on the redesign of the survivor list now.. v1.9 has all the armies in it if you want to use the company or the survivors or even the fantasy stuff, just not as nice to look at!

I might as well let you know now, a few of the core mechanics changed a bit since I released the preview version. If you shoot in a turn you can only move up to half your movement (to prevent kiting) and jam / out of ammo have been combined together, if you roll snake eyes you need to spend a action to unjam or reload. There are a few other minor changes, those are the largest impact though. They came from a scrub session I had with a few local players two weeks ago.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Modern card background artwork is now complete. A preview is in order! Let me know what you think, I can adjust the icons, text add stuff ect.

New update out on the KS, mostly for the modern card but there is some other important information. Worth taking a look!

Thanks!

Yes they do look sharp! Can't wait to print them out tomorrow! I was planning on doing it today but was working on a secret surprise for everyone (a video). It's more of a new intro for all the battle reports so don't get to worked up about it, the movie clip is really only going to be 20 seconds long or so.. should be neat none the less!

Still have 19 days! That's actually 1/3 of the KS time left still. If anyone here was waiting to kick in, nows the time. If we push to the next stretch goal I'm positive everyone already backing will appreciate it!

Thanks for the interest and happy wargaming!

yes stretch goal 2 has been reached! Patient Zero 28mm is unlocked! all backers 25$ and up will receive the miniature as an additional award. Now just waiting on those master mini pics.. I suppose all good things come in time.

Ahh yes I like the WGF stuff. I know we've had this discussion already but it really is just a great deal for the money. You will have plenty of left overs for terrain bits and weapons for custom models! =)
