I've never read the dark angels dex.
But I'm assuming the raven wing attack squadron are troops?
If so the only problem I see in this list are only having 4 scoring units in a 2k list...

I like the list but It seems like horde armies would hurt you bad and you don't really have any anti infantry besides the flyers hurricane bolters and missle launchers.

I see the point on the Horde type armies...thank god I don't have any of those in my Meta. I actually have 6 scoreing units as the Attack Bikes would break off and could potentially grab an objective later in the in game. My biggest concerns is that this list covers, anti-air, tank busting, and MCs as well as CC. Thoughts on those threats?

Sammual & Khan w/RW Command Squad - CC & Plasma
Libby w/Grav Gun Command Squad - MC w/Divination

Ravenwing Attack Squadron - Tank Busting
White Scars Bikers - MC & TEQ

Stormraven and Stormtalon - Anti-Air

Are the attack bikes a dark angels trait I'm unaware of? As far as breaking off?? Because I know normal marines can't break off unless the bike squad numbers at least 8 models. And even then you have to declare that before the game for combat squads.

However even with that said yea, I really love the idea... I was going to comment on the fact that horde armies seem to be dying out anyways and your list seems like a great solution to a lot of the armies in the current "metas" around the divination grav command squad should hurt stuff pretty bad.

To hit on your point about buying the models, It really all depends on how much you can spend. It is generally better to buy 1-2 units at a time (for price reasons obviously) but also because it can get rather demoralizing to paint when you have 200+ $ of models sitting in front of you and you have no clue where to begin haha.

The Ravenwing are troops if Sammael is in the army.

Yes ravenwing attack squads can split up into 4 combat squads either at deployment or when they come from reserves. Its completely unique to that unit

Nice! Very cool, than my above comments stand about loving the list against most comers besides maybe horde armies.

Well my whole point in this list was to incorporate my two favorite elements on 40k without compromising moderate competitiveness. I love the story behind the Dark Angels, particularly the Ravenwing, and I love to custom build characters on bikes....hell I just enjoy bike themed lists. It just so happens that Space Marine bike armies are somewhat up there in the competive world of 40k...if that really is a thing. Utimately, I wanted to make something I enjoy and will fair well against most other semi-competive armies. Thank you for your comments.

I only need 4 more boxes of Ravenwing Bikes and the Stormraven to complete the army list. I converted my Nephiliem Jetfighter to a Stormtalon

In my meta is as follows:
Chaos w/Demon Allies
Space Marines
MC Tynanids
Space Wolves
Tau
Eldar

Any suggestions on how to counter these armies with the list I provided?

Many Thanks

I would love to see the conversion if you ever post it.
Also i have never once played against demons if you can believe that. So i have no advice there.

As for the other armies you should fair pretty fine i think.
Thats a lot of armies to do a run down on. But if you fear one of them in particular i could give you my feedback.

I have only been playing for couple of years so i am by no means an expert or tournament winner, but i could certainly provide you some feedback for bike lists if you are new.

Well I think my toughest matchup will be Tau. Any advice against fight a Fire Warrior, Suit, and Hammerhead style lists?
I have been playing for about 2 years as well but only have about 20-25 games under my belt. Most of those games have been spent learning the main rules and then honing in on my armies specific rules.

I personally love the way bikes play and I think they have a huge gain over regular marines for the cost of one bike to one marine.

You get 12" movement, T5, twin linked bolters, relentless, and more special weapons rather then heavy.

Ravenwing gives you Scout, smaller combat squading with scoring Land Speeders, & Black Knights. White Scars gives you +1S to Hammer of Wraith, +1 to Jink, and Hit n' Run. Bikes win everytime....

Bikes are certainly much better. For me it's about the speed. Twin linked bolters is ok, a bit better but that's not why people take them. The 4+ jink is great until you play helldrakes and the mobility is what it's all about for me.. Being able to catch things you want to catch and turbo boost in the final turns to cap objectives.

As far as Tau go as I'm sure you've read before kill the marker lights... It isn't fun when your 4+ jink is erased due to ignoring cover shagnanogians.. And your grav squads will do great against the riptides.
Don't send part of your army and hold the rest back though.. While every game is different with objectives etc. iv'e seen that you should try and sort of overwhelm them with everything at once. If you hold something back they just shoot everything at the immediate threats and it will most likely not be enough to do the job you wanted it to. Than it's sort of just them shooting at your held back units while you hope to live and block line of sight for 2 or so turns.
