Can a jet bike go into a bastion or bunker? I wanted to throw something new at a friend of mine. I have cleared the top of his bastion before. I was wondering if I could steal it with jet bikes.

Only Infantry can embark into vehicles, and buildings are treated as transport vehicles.

I believe Stronghold Assault opens this up to include Jump and Jet Infantry (which are excluded in the BRR) - but I don't have that book so can't say 100%.

I do have Stronghold Assault and you are correct.

I thought jetbikes were infantry?

No, any unit type that isn't Infantry (Monstrous Creatures, Bikes, Jump Infantry, Beasts, Vehicles, etc), well, isn't Infantry. Most use various rules like Infantry does, but it's a different unit type.

I would need to verify the rule myself but I have this itching of an interesting rule interaction that might be occurring due to Stronghold, of course:
Battlements are now the upper-floor of ruins and, if Jetbike are not already already allowed, keep in mind the Ruin Rules do encourage you to discuss what can be on the upper floors
Units on a Battlement may 'seize' the building underneath them if the building is otherwise unoccupied

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

That way,then left

Jetbikes, skimmers and jet- and jump-units are allowed
Edit: To go in ruins. Not to "embark" in bastions
