Hey, these are my son's Necrons. He's rocking 1,000 points, combination of his and my work. He's currently 8, almost 9 and started with LOTR, some of which you can see in the gallery: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-69547-31904_My%20Kids%27%20Best%20Work.html

We're playing these against my own DA http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/508157.page and slowly building up the points as both armies are painted. Rule is we don't buy any new stuff until what we already have is painted. It works well with the kids, not so well with me.

Thanks. We're going in steps of 250 depending on who wins the most. If DA beat the Crons a lot, the Crons will get 250 more points worth and we'll step up to 2,000 each that way.

Finished a little side project today, a ghetto Deathmark:



Made from the leftover Deathmark parts from an Immortals kit, legs and chest from a Ghost Ark damaged Warrior, and air-dry clay for the hyperspace deepstrike effect. Not super happy with the white on the base, and I think I'll tidy it up a bit. I couldn't get a fine enough spray with my airbrush and had to do it by hand. Then 4 more, and I'll have effectively a free squad of Deathmarks!

I wasn't completely happy with the green base, so I added some cotton ball around the base. I'm much happier with this now.

Nice idea!

Worked on the Night Scythe this weekend. My son did the pilot, I did the airbrushing. Still have the base, some gap filling, touchups and the port wing white lines in the recesses. Left the silver spray over black a little speckly, I like the effect.

Well, these Deathmarks kicked my DA's ass all over the table in Sniper Alley. Re-rolling hits and wounds, with 2+ wounds on my Librarian ( Marked For Death) and Rapid Fire? Ouch. 7 VP to 4, and at the end of the game I had a Whirlwind and 2 Greenwing left.
