So, if brotherhood of psykers is removed, how do these units work? Surely they don't all become independent psykers... but then again they shouldn't lose their powers. Help!
Please no HIWPI (lot of that lately)... just RAW.

They dont. LOL.
They dont gain psyker special rule because they dont have brotherhood of psykers anymore.
They have power but will never generate warp points to spend it.

Zoanthropes though can be used as units of one, and thus wouldn't lose anything. They'd be brootherhoods of psykers of 1 member. If you buy several and split them though they suffer the same problem as the others

I dont know anything about zonethrops.
are they exactly like other Brotherhood or psykers?
If so they wouldn't be psykers unless they are listed as such.
BoP is what confers the psyker special rule.

BoP is what confers the psyker special rule.
A zoanthrope brood starts out as a BoP of 1 guy. You may add 2 extras, but playing a single zoanthrope gets you a lvl 2 psyker. Do the killteam rules strip you of BoP?

new kill teams removes BoP
So the zoan under its special rules states that it is a brotherhood of psykers instead of psyker + extra rules then it would not be a pysker and cannot generate warp charges.

Pretty sure they act as individual psykers at level 1, at least thats how we've been doing it at my FLGS
Otherwise couldnt ever activate force weapons which would be lame.

Feel free to house rule for sure (its silly but can i think could get crazy with things like daemons)
But from the books.
Psychic solitude: The brotherhood of psykers/sorcerers speical rule has no effect in games of KT
Brotherhood of psyker: a unite with this counts as mastery lv 1 psyker.
So without it they wouldnt be psykers period.

The Brotherhood of Psyker's Special Rule was very broken when it came to Kill Teams, so it makes sense as to why the latest version of the rules removed it completely.
|
8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures. |

I think it could be applied to the game if GW had tried. Why not just apply the rule to the use of the FO chart for units with that rule?
For example I take two units of 10 Pink Horrors which takes up the two assigned Troops choices so that would count as two "Brotherhood of Sorcerers" Units. I know it gets fiddly a bit with the character thing, but I don't think it would have been out of the question to implement it.

Correct. the Rule in Kill Teams is called Psychic Solitude and specifically states that the Brotherhood of Psykers/sorcerers special rule has no effect in Kill Teams games
|

Correct, but not because he was a Level 2 Psyker, but rather because he was a member of a level 2 brotherhood of psykers that only had 1 model(Just Like a Single GK Paladin)
