For example i played a 40k game a while ago (900 points) i had like 40 models and feel thats a lot, now my 1,500 point army has 67 models. would that be considered average or a lot?

also a side question, how many HQ units can i have on the field for CSM?

(I'm still new to playing and have only played 1 game)

On moon miranda.

Depends on the army, an SM army may have 30-60 models at 1500pts (60 if going very tac/dev heavy, 30 if going biker/terminator heavy), while an IG army may have 90 or more models in 1500pts.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

At 1,500 I put down around 40 infantry, and about a half dozen vehicles as an Ultramarine. Numbers fluctuate depending on list and mood.

It really depends on the army. I have fielded 1500 point Tyranid lists with 120+ models and 1500 point grey knight lists with only 12. Even within armies you can have big variations. Contrast my 120 model nid list to rigelds 13.

Again, it depends. I push 17 models at 1250 in my Deathwing, but then I can get 80 guardsmen and about 9-12 tanks in 1800 with my guard.

HQ for CSM? At least two, maybe even a third if you ally in a Daemon.

When I play at 1850, my CSM list has 44 models. 20 cultists, 10 daemonettes and the rest are bikers/obliterators and MC Daemons.

Side Question: at 1500 points, you can have 2 CSM HQ's.

My 1500 point CSM army has 31 models, but only 26 of those are infantry.

Depends on your faction, the amount of toys you give your units (special equipment, upgrades, etc), amount of vehicles, etc.

For example orks could have 150+ models in a 1500 point foot slogging army while for the same points you could have a biker list which could easily be around 15 to 30 models.

For Orks you could easily have over 100 boyz on the field at 1500pts. It really depends on the army.

Around 30 to 40 models for my Space Marines.. But I run quite a bit of armor and a mortis contemptor.
I just like vehicles.

My CSM should be around 60 to 70 models or less depending on choises like DP/cult troops/Typhus with his zombrahs.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
