Subject: Where to get bits to be used for crypteks

Decided I wanted to make crypteks out of immortal legs, deathmark backs, and I havnt decided on which/what head to use. Any ideas on where to look for scale size for arms/accoutrements? The bits stores Ive been looking through mostly just have actual pieces from various boxes, and I didnt see any cryptek parts.

Because Crypteks are finecast, you won't find any bit reseller splitting up the kit.
There are people who have taken the praetorian box and have made crypteks from them. I've also seen people use Kromlech Technomancer bits from http://www.kromlech.eu.

Deathmark head or the one eyed head from the Anni Barge pilots.
Triarch Praetorian Rod of the Covenant for arms and staff.
I just used Warrior bodies and legs for the rest since they are cheap and plentiful.

warrior body (torso and legs) + Staff from Praetorian set + tail from Praetorian set + death mark head
That should make a fairly faithful cryptek. If you want him to be fancier (headdress, that carapace thing, etc), you'll have to use Greenstuff and Plasticard.

As others have said, since there is only 1 cryptek, and he is finecast, you may have to be more imaginative.
for my first few crypteks i used warrior legs and torsos, and parts from the praetorian/lychguard set, along with deathmark heads, you could also use the one eyed head from the a. barge set.
my next cryptek i'm going to use the WHFB Cairn wraith as the base model, change the head and arms, and add a mechanical tail for a suitable Despairtek.
Since they share a theme, you could also look at the tomb kings range for decorations to give your crypteks.

Thank you very much for the replies, I was thinking about taking parts from other stuff to make them, but looking around I wasnt seeing anything I liked. Are there places that just make bits to be used on differing models, a generic bits company, or a plastic miniatures that are scaled close enough to be used?

I don't even use the cryptek model.
I make mine from left over deathmark and praetorians and immortal bits.
I am even working on some that are old necron pariahs with updated weapons from lychguard bits.
Personally, I would just abandon the fine cast model, or use him as he is, and just make more.
Crypteks are supposed to be individuals, so a lot of diversity in their build is a cool thing.

Just an idea to throw out there, you could buy a bunch of robbed and hooded figures (so no face or anything can be seen) and just put necron hands on them for a little necron cryptec cult look. But it may be more expensive i dont know. Unique though...

That is a very popular conversion.
