Hey all,

Here's a lit I've been toying around with for a tournament next week. I know it's short on scoring units, but I feel as though there is enough other things for my opponent to worry about

Space Marines - Iron Hands Chapter Tactics
HQ
Chapter Master 255
-Thunder Hammer, Shield Eternal, Artificer Armor, Meltabombs, Bike

Elites
2x5 Assault Terminators 450
- all have Thunder Hammer & Storm Shield - each squad gets a LRC

Troops
2x5 Tactical Marines 230
-each has Meltagun & Rhino

Heavy Support
2x Land Raider Crusader 520
-each has Multi-Melta

Allied Imperial Guard
HQ
Company Command Squad 110
-4 Plasmaguns -rides in the Vendetta

Troops
10 veterans 155
-3 Meltaguns, Chimera

Fast Attack
Vendetta Gunship 130

TOTAL: 1,850

The only problem I see is the Melta Bomb on the Chapter Master.

Do you have a better way to spend my last 5 points?

Take those LRCs as dedicated transports, else your terminators can't start the game inside of them.

Ask yourself what the Guard are bringing to the table that your own codex cannot. If it's the Vendetta, I get that - but you can cut points on the squads inside or the vets to add more valuable assets where you need it. Specifically - your list will suffer against hordes. Maybe find the points for a TFC or two, or have the Guardsmen bring some autocannons or other high RoF weapons.

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

I take the LRCs as heavy so that they can score in "Big Guns Never Tire" missions. Units are able to start the game in non-dedicated transports as long as they are not the transport of another squad. How else do I get a squad in the Vendetta?

The IG bring the Vendetta (which is my sole anti-air) and special weapons. Unfortunately I don't have a TFC. The only thing I have with templates is several Leman Russ tanks and about 15 marines with Missile Launchers.

You are correct - my mistake.

As to the IG, if you're bringing them for special weapon duty on top of AA I'd try and find the points for 3x Plasma on the vets over melta. Just because you have melta on your marine squads and land raiders already.

That's not a bad idea. One can never have too much AP2!
