I'm also reasonably sure that Guinness is the best beer that is available in every grocery store in the USA. Is it the best beer ever? Nah, I've had much better. But when I go into any grocery store, it'll always have Guinness. And not always the things I like more. So Guinness wins the common-beer award. I mean...look at its competition: bud light? Heineken? Coors?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

Heineken is probably the best generic cheap lager though. It certainly beats the gak out of Carling and Fosters. Tuborg is basically the same but cheaper unfortunately its not as common.

Drinking Sleeman Original right now, before heading to the mess to drink Sleeman Honey Brown until I forget I exist.

Otherwise, I'm usually found drinking Harp, Tennants, and Innis and Gunn in pubs.

Nice taste Pallindrome!

*Edit* Happy Friday!

You willingly drink Tennets? Whats wrong with you?

I grew up on it and I'm amazed that I was able to drink it. In my misspent youth I was able to down a pint of it in 10 seconds, its not something that I have any interest in doing today .

My mess only has Fosters and a couple of bottled lagers. I tend to drink cider when I'm there.....

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Heineken from a can or a bottle? From a can Heineken isn't terrible, from a bottle its pretty crap. Those green bottles just don't travel here to the states well, pretty much always skunked.

There's a small Canadian brewery that makes one called "Yukon Gold". I recommend it, if you can find it.
I often drink Moosehead Lager.
My go to beer is Yuengling traditional lager. Its local.

I'd argue that the Newcastle 5L Fridge keg is the best "commonly available" beer in the grocery store in the US.... Also, if I am doing something like watching rugby, or recovering from a rugby match of my own, I actually like the Foster's in the blue can

Oh I envy you people. Nothing above 3.2 is available in grocery stores in Oklahoma...including wine, oddly enough.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

I’m with you on the Yuengling. Good, solid beer. It’s what I buy these days if I want something lighter the a guinness, that and coronas for The Wife. If I’m out having a beer with dinner, I’ll aim for a Killians, Sam Adams, or a Saranac, depending what I can find.
