FW have just released a new Kharn model. And I don't know about you but I am very disappointed I think he deserved better for a model that hasn't been redone for 15+ years, I hope GW's version will look better
He just looks like a scaled down version of Angron, gorechild is tiny, the plasma pistol looks like its scaled to fit a guardsman. And who's legs look like that when they run seriously.
And the chopped up marine on the scenic bases are getting old
I like how he mirrors Angron. Maybe some people won't, but I really like how they'll look very smiliar side-by-side, chopping the Loyalist marines, charging head-on into battle!
His "T-shirt" power armor is pretty cool to boot. I thought he used a standard power armor pre-chaos, but I like it a lot!

"Fear is freedom! Subjugation is liberation! Contradiction is truth! These are the truths of this world! Surrender to these truths, you pigs in human clothing!" - Satsuki Kiryuin, Kill la Kill
I think the new model looks amazing. That plasma pistol looks bad-ass. His legs look like he just kicked that marine off his axe after chopping through his arm.
And I can't get enough of the dead marines on the bases of the most scenic, iconic characters in 40k. Two guys in your entire army, with really decorative dead bodies lain to waste on them? Heaven forbid the named HQ characters in your army are your centerpieces.
I think that's actually pretty cool, and certainly better than the 'current' model from GW. The way it mirrors Angron and is relatively plain but dynamic is cool.
Yeah, not bad for a sergeant. Not an officer or even an oficer of Kharne's status.
Very nice model, just doesnt do him justice. No better than the old one in terms of saying "this is kharne and I am a bad dude' or "I am a world Eaters Officer and I am a bad dude".
Nice model, utter failure for the purpose it was intended.

Um, he shouldn't have Gorechild yet, so that's probably just a regular chainaxe. >> Also, are you sure that's a plasma pistol, not a volkite carva?

Those are indeed a regular chainaxe and a volkita thingy.

Fair enough I like a bit of dynamasism myself but this just makes him look like he's totting behind Angron killing who ever Angron doesn't IMO
Automatically Appended Next Post: The FW website says its gorechild so I don't know and looks like a plasma pistol IMO.

It's Gorechild, it's in the interview thingie in the N&R thread.
For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.
I really like it. The one with the face showing makes him look suitably angry.
I also don't think he is running but rather it looks like he shoulder checking someone or perhaps kicked the marine behind him. It is a relatively complex motion which could make it difficult but it has a lot of potential. I really would like to see the falling space marine where he would be if Kharne shoulder checked him.

I'm a bit iffy on this one. For a start the pose is shocking - no one in the history of the world runs like that!
Not too sure about the "t-shirt armour" as it was called earlier - pretty sure he's only missing the left sleeve in the fluff (and that's post-heresy)...
Regarding the chainaxe/Gorechild - it should be Gorechild (and thus much larger as it was Angron's)
Regarding the volkite charger/plas pistol - it certainly looks like a volkite, but in the HH books he's armed with a plas pistol.
On the whole, nice mini (aside from the pose), but not Kharne at all...
I think it looks pretty sick actually. As far as the pose, I don't see that as running at all. I agree with the earlier posters mentioning a kick, and that's part of why it looks so awesome to me. Like he's already turning away from this guy while kicking him body off of Gorechild, looking for the next target.
I have nothing to say about that model other than horribly disappointing for a FW sculpt (worse, a FW sculpt designed specifically to be part of a display series).
Nowhere near their standards, in fact I don't hold GWs sculpts in high reguard but I think some of those recent ones are better.
No way in hell he's worth that price tag.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.
I think the problem is his plasma pistol arm ( it is a plasma pistol it's the exact same one on the old model) if it was higher as if to be making a shot it would look more fluid
Gorechild is still too small though
The 3d look around does do him more justice though !!
I think it's wicked for a Heresy-era Kharn (hoping for a Saul Tarvitz model though)

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.
