So I've been stuck. Very stuck. I play dark eldar in 40k and saw the retribution of Scyrah or the Protectorate of menoth. Both armies I love. I like sneaking up on people with cool looking models and then stabbing them in the back. Please help me decide!

Flames of war- USSR and UAR
x wing- customs= imperial rampant destroyer and tie geist and tie phantom.
proper models= x wing 5 the fighters 2 interceptors 2 bombers rebel transport y wing 3 b wings and tantive IV

I don't have much experience with either of those armies but tbh I think Cryx might suit your sneaky back stabbing cravings!

Need more 's in my life!

For sheer sneakyness, I would actually (contra EC) say take a look at look at Retribution. They have some of the most feared assassin infantry in the Mage Hunter Strike Force and Mage Hunter Infiltrators, can take all versions of Eiryss as in-faction models.

The thing is though, that the factions can support different play styles: Cryx has some very strong stealth infantry in Banes of many flavors (a common saying is "Keep calm and apply Banes"), but they can play a more ranged game with Pirates, or a speed game with Satyxis, or even a heavy Jack game. They won't necessarily run it as well as another faction*, but they can do it.

So if angry elves are your flavor (Retribution), go for it. My personal view is that if you pick a faction that you like the design of and idea of, that's the best way to stay focused on actually putting things on the table. Picking a faction based only on what they do in game is fine for some, but I know that I wouldn't be able to put together an army worth of models that I didn't care for.

*There are relatively few absolute bests in WM/H, the only one off the top of my head that springs to mind is that nobody touches Convergence's ability to run masses of Jacks.

Each faction can play multiple different ways. That said, I'd say that Cryx and Legion are much closer to Dark Eldar in regards to playstyle and feel.

Don't listen to Mordekiem. He's probably one of them dirty Seahawks fans.

haha j/k

Mord actually echoes my sentiments... either Cryx or Legion is a good way to go.

Loud. the 12s are loud. Just ask Peyton and his o-line how that first snap worked out for them.
