Let me know if you can think of a defense against this...but I have a need to kill tigurius.

GK StormRaven with Mindstrike Missiles prescienced by an Inquisitor. It should reliably take down Tiggy right?

No cover, no invulns, no LoS, no rerolling anything...just pure perils.

Tiggy... is really easy to kill. I use him and its a struggle keeping him alive long enough to be useful.

I'm trying to get him when he's in the middle of a grav centurion mob that also contains calgar.

One good thing Nids are good at. Deathleaper for -d3 leadership and then get into SITW range for a further -3 leadership. Or snipe with mawloc/biovores.

If you go GK for the mindstrike missiles then the vindicare can snipe him out as well with no look out sir.

Grav gun bikes can get the first strike on centurions if they are careful. You wound the unit on majority armour, so 2+ with AP2. 2 bike squads with combi-gravs on the sergeant wipes the whole unit.

Tiggy is likely granting them a 4++, which I'm betting dollars to donuts is part of the problem.

Ugh! As a nid player, i hate that guy! He always gets his "ignores cover" power from divination, and posts up in the rear corner of the board with lascannon devastators. Any of my support bugs (T4, 3W) that cross their field of vision get vaporized. Plus it takes 2 turns to get him in shadows, but with prescience and storm of fire (and the ultramarines devastator/tactical doctrines) marines can seriously pull off some good snapfiring, taking down my flyrants. I've only been able to get close enough to kill him in one game out 4 that i've faced him so far, due to the placement and such.

The mindstrike missiles would help, but as you can only fire 2/turn he would still have 1 wound left if he perils'd twice. Plasma cannons and demolisher cannons at range would help pick that unit apart in places.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

So, take 2 stormravens?

Frankly, SW should be able to nilch this hombre. iirc Runic Armor negates any psychic power within their bubble (even blessings) on a 4+. Other than that? Lather on those Str 8+ shots with precision hits and cross your fingers, assault, or throw snacks at the unit. 20 gaunts in synapse should be able to make sure those Centurions never get to shoot past Turn 1 unless they're 48'' away toting lascannons.

Yes, as long as you can make the extra 240"ish" points useful to your overall army. Countering a single 165 point model with 500+ points isn't very efficient unless you can make those flyers work for you in other ways. (which of course, psybolt hurricanes and assault cannons are always useful). It does help that storm ravens are one of the most difficult flyers to kill in the standard game right now with AV12 and immunity to melta.

Well, I think Coteaz, 2 units of henchmen, and two birds would suit me well.

If you had to assault centurions with hechmen as well...how would you do it?
Or...would you not as calgar is in there?

Too many power weapons. I'd stick to shooting the unit before commiting any assault into it (Unless it was Kaldor Draigo).

Draigo would lose against Calgar, a champion could at least instagib him?

Just assault with an inquisitor with grenades and DCA/Crusaders out of the storm...
It costs less then Draigo and will hurt a lot more
