I have a small tournament coming up about 15 to 20 people. As far as I can see no TFG/WAAC armies. Just 2 Tau players and some Footdar, the rest is split up into most other codexes.
Now I heard they reduced the Points from 1500 Pts to 1250 Pts. Wich ruined my entire other list. Now I came up with this, but it's still a struggle.

I can swap some stuff around to get a Drop-Pod with Ironclad in or a Razorback with Devastators. (With mostly Missile Launchers or Heavy Bolters.) But for the rest I'm pretty much stuck and don't know what to do.

Can you show us your 1500 pt list? Also 1/5 of you army in HQ, that's a lot.

That's mostly because my Contemptor won't make it on fime. Usually it's just Pedro. Still hoping it'll come in time. I need that Skyfire and Interceptor. There will be quite a lot of Flyers around.

It's mostly a fluffy like list. But I just don't want to get steamrolled. This one used to work quite well the last few times..

I assume the Libby, Kantor and the Sternguard are in the Land Raider which moves up with the Vindicator. The TFC and Scouts provide support fire while the Stormtalon is fire support? That works rather well. I like it.

That's pretty much the idea behind it yes. I had a few points to spare. Would "Extra armor" be any good with it? If I remember this shakes off Crew Shaken and Stunned? I never really used it so.

1500 Pts list, is a Metal Bawkses rush. For fun, and somehow it works quite well. I had one Vindicator wreck 2 Lemon Russes with one lucky shot.

On the Land Raider Extra Armour would be a good option. Just remember to support your Sternguard and not allow them to get nuked.

I don't really like the idea of bringing a land raider with sternguard, its and assault vehicle. Whatever is in the land raider wants to pop out and assault, that the main reason to take one. If you just want to get your sternguard up close and personal, I would suggest a drop pod it 35 points, compared to 260 and will get your stern guard as close as they need to be. Also it would free up a lot of points, and space marines have a lot of cheap fire power, you can take for 200 points.
