I posted the completed images in my P&M Blog, but it's been 6 months since my last update. I figured I'd share the completed images here as well. I modified a Hellbrute to make him look like a Big Daddy from "Bioshock" and gave him an appropriate Nurgle theme. This is my first attempt at using both LED lighting and water effects.

Wow that really is a piece of art, fantastic work and the LED lights actually look good (IMO they usually look sucky)

That is awesome! Excellent job on the water effects. Do you plan on doing up a small force to fight along side "Daddy"?

This is amazing, really like your use of LED's and water effects. How long did this take?

I'm painting my Tau now, but I was thinking of buying some Plague Marines since I like the models.

Off and on it took me a few months, but there were long stretches in between. I couldn't say how many hours total went into it, but definitely 12+. A lot of that was testing the water effects, wiring (and rewiring), etc.

Here's the link if you want to see the P&M Blog with all the various steps http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/529025.page

I entered it at the local GW store last month in the painting contest. The only prize is bragging rights, but I got first place and I was happy with that.

Love it. That's totally brilliant.

Any plans to make a Little Sister to go with it?

Its the arm Big Daddy has a drill on id say.

That would actually be pretty funny, a nurgling with a wig and dress.

Well, here's a picture of the Big Daddy from Bioshock:

I couldn't find a drill piece large enough to replace the entire right arm, plus I wanted to keep the gun so it could still play under WYSIWYG. The drill is an Ork piece, and the gun mounted above it is the tailpipe off an Ork bike.I figured you could still use the right arm as a gun and just say that the drill was decorative.

Well the big arm looks killy enough to be the main CCW if anyone ever has a problem just blind them with the LED and make your escape.

Impressive work.... Real nice. Kan you see the light effect during games??

You can see it with the lights on, but it looks best in dim lighting.

really cool, especially the LED effect!
Lots of work went into that, but the result is worth the sweat & tears and learning how to solder and so on
