You need two troops. get razorbacks with las/plas. It's better. Take out Curbulo to get another troop:Scouts.

Great ideas here! Corbulo with sternguard in drop pod is one of the best combinations in the game. I would bump your point total up to 750 if you can and add a full tactical squad in a rhino along with two plasma guns for your sternguard and a melta instead of a flanker for your assualt squad. If you still have extra points, get some combi-meltas for your sternguard as well And yes, I agree with Glorywarrior, las/plas is a lot better.

Assault Squad - 125p
Flamer, RB

Assault Squad - 105p
Flamer

Sternguard - 170p
2x combi-Melta, Pod

Take out a tank, catch an objective with the RB assault squad.
Keep the other Assault Squad in Reserves (not entisellä sure if DoA specifies failed Reserves rolls, or just any rolls you wish) so they'll come in T2-4 to Göran another objective.

I don't know, Veterans are expensive and maybe too expensive in low points. A priest and second RB might work better.

I'd swap both flamers for a melta gun on the Razor squad and swap the combi meltas for combi plasmas. They do just as well against AV10 rear armor and now have the ability to hurt terminators and riptides and now your Razorback squad can hunt Land Raiders while the razorback (with flamer or hb) can kill infantry. Also that way, you're not wasting 5 points on a unit that you intend to do nothing with most of the game.

If I was going to use any razorbacks though I would "go hard or go home" take three with Heavy Bolters. If you want to get creative, give the Libby a magnetized swappable combi weapon and give each squad a different special weapon. It's exactly 500 points and you can adapt to any situation on the fly.

Okay, listen to this guy. Good suggestions, all of them.
Plasmas are more all-rounders, giving better chances against heavy infantry if needed.
I wouldn't propably bother with three different special weapons tough.

Pretty expensive models for 500 points I'd say.

* Yeah, that's some pretty heavy stuff. It kind of takes the 3 specialized CSM rhino squads to the next level. Technically it can tackle anything (except Heldrakes and Vendettas) with 3 heavy bolters for mid range shooting and then either 2 meltas for tanks, 2 plasma for heavy infantry or 2 flamers for light infantry but it's a pretty advanced tactic and a pain in the ass to model the Librarian with a combi-everything.

Well I see all of your points being right it's just for some reason I just want Corbulo, and love Sternguard in a pod, I wish you could take Korbulo as an HQ Also, I was thinking about using fear of darkness from a pod to make hard units like Riptide to run away, or, if it is Vehicle, then destroy it with comby meltas on Sternguard , and then give shield to this unit, so corbulo could tank as mad man leaving me with some kind of little death star, and then my Razorback would toast any remaining infantry, but I absolutely forgot that you need 2 troops ;(

I am new to 40k and have ben thinking about starting a blood angles army. For 500pts i would take:

Librarian, JP 125

7 Assault marines
5 Assault marines, 2 Infernus pistols

2 Attack bikes

Librarian joins 7 man unit and moves across table supported by the bikes.

The 5 man unit deep stikes in and either takes out rear armour or precision shots characters.

Or i would drop the bikes find 45 points to put in a vindicator.

Good thing about the bikes, though, is that they can contest objectives.

Yeah but very useful. I had a squad kill 3 deff koptas and 5 orc nobs with only 2 casualties.

The thing is, if you can get that small squad into combat. they can easily die before you get there.
