I'm mainly interested in this because it means that GW might incorporate the old Eldar Knights models into the range (scaled up and updated, of course). I know that they've already got the Wraithknight model out now, but a 28mm Bright Stallion would probably be one of the coolest looking figures out there.

There White dwarf rules, I'm guessing, will be just a taste of the rules that will be in the ebook they are making available for preorder on the 22nd as well. My guess is once the actual book is released the white dwarf rules will be replaced and perhaps a new ally chart or something will come about. This really feels like it should be a formation not an allied detachment. I'll be placing my ebook order this weekend for sure.

I don't buy the rumors of a "furious GW pushing back release schedules out of rage over the leaks" IIRC Faeit's posted similer rumors when we had the LAST big leaks pop out..

yeah thats my guess too, the WD stuff is ultimatly just a preview. the ecodex (or whatever) some delicious fluff. and all the rules. including quite possiably some rules goodies not in WD.

There is a picture of a "barrel of a Leman Russ battle cannon" according to the text accompagning the image.
But this barrel isn't the actual Leman Russ one.
It looks to be a Baneblade battle cannon, but it's clearly mentioned it's a Leman Russ battle cannon."
Could it be that Leman Russ' will get more gun choices, i.e. neutron laser system, Neutron Laser Projector, Executioner-pattern Plasma Destroyer? Some weapon type to handle IKs & all the new BIG models...???

Someone on 4chan is leaking the WD. Sadly, nothing we haven't seen in the OP.
I'm concerned that there is no clarification around taking them as a primary detachment. IE, how do you nominate a warlord? Can such a unit ever score? Is is a "codex"? I'm also not seeing where it says what armies can ally with it.

While it is a little early to definitively cite a pattern, the Dwarf release saw enough rules in WD to give a good idea how they worked in game, but wasn't complete, meaning you still needed the book. I suspect this will be the same.

Sorry, maybe I'm a little uneducated about this whole process, but how can he have a "vested interest" or benefit from stirring the pot / trolling / "creating controversy"?
Sincere question, honestly curious... just can't see how he could get anything out of it from Dakka?

So it seems as I suspected earlier, you do get a transfer sheet in the box.
Anyway, I want one. From the number of people on Dakka who normally are critical of GW actually saying they'll buy one, I wonder if it will actually sell out.

Sincere question, honestly curious... just can't see how he could get anything out of it from Dakka?
Clickthroughs to his blog.
He gets some money from the advertising, etc. No idea if he's making a living/profit off of it at this stage, or gets a lot of freebies via review copies, or so forth, but that's what Alph was referring to. A bit of a shame, when Zwei isn't being contrary, making absurd arguments and gak stirring he can be an interesting poster.

I'd like one, I'll be honest.
It'll be a while before I can purchase one, but it would make sense to have one to fight along side my Vostroyans, painted up in House Raven colors (I envision red, with bronze trim) to tie it into my force. Vostroyans are known to have close ties to the Adeptus Mechanicus, and having a Knight that's aligned with the Ad-Mech would be a cool force multiplier for big games. Would also be cool to have it running interference for my Shadowsword in Apocalypse scale games as well.
Next step will be saving for it while I get the rest of my I.G. painted up. Good looking model. Double-shot battlecannon? Yes please.

Hm, good point. With the listed prices above, I'd be able to buy them from a local discounter for about the same as from a US discounter, so I'd actually buy them locally! Surely a horrible mistake, then!
