Just figured out that the Bretonnia armybook has its 10th anniversary this month. It was released February 2004. Bretonnia hasn't got a single release since then. So we should commemorate this event and an army slowly disappearing in the mists of Avalon
(To be fair, rumours point at a release this year)

I just realized that a large portion of WFB players probably weren't able to read when the Bretonnian Army Book came out.
Which makes this Bret player sad.

Jesus, they better get a complete remake a la Dark Eldar.
It wouldn't that hard:
One box for Knights Errant/Knights of the realm (really should update the current box they have its showing its age)
One box Questing KnightsGrail Knights
One Box Men-At-Arms/Bowmen/Grail Followers
One box Mounted Yeomen/Some new unit
Hippogryph that can have either the king or a generic Lord

Well happy birthday Bretonnia!!!
Such a shame this army has received the Dark Eldar treatment it's such a beautiful army on the table. Also offers some of my most favorite fluff in the game. I hope rumors are true and they see a new book soon.

<cranky old GW hipster voice>
I been playing Bretonnians since back in 4th edition, when we only had an army list in the paper book found in the boxed set. I had to order my knights from GW England and have them shipped overseas. I still have some of those models in my army. Heck, my "damsel" is a man dressed in foppish clothing holding some kind of sphere with an eye on it.
I also had to walk uphill to the game store, both directions, in the snow...
We survived those times, we'll survive these.
Long Live Bretonnia!

I was just playing on the fact that I liked and was playing Brets long before your "new-fangled" 2004 book.

you know it has to be said that even though the bret codex is 10yrs old,out of date, behind in rules updates, points costs ect. they are still rather steady on the table top.

Now, Bretonnia is waaaay overcosted army. Try to compare their knights with the WoC/VC knights, feel free to cry then.
When I play with my friends, I don't use this outdated book, I use the more balanced and interesting unofficial army book from warhammerarmiesproject, which also has a pleathora of cool armies, like Cathay, Nippon and Pirates of Sartosa.
