Probably in due to a foggy mind, but the probability is I'm over-interpreting the Lore Attribute of the Tomb Kings Army Book dealing with restoring wounds to Nehekara Undead Units; specifically Animated Constructs. Anyway, the question.
It says they can only ever recover a single lost wound in this way per Magic Phase. Can Animated Constructs only gain back a single wound no matter if they're targeted by more than one augment spell in the same Magic Phase? Or a single lost wound for each augment spell targeting them in the same Magic Phase?
Probably an obvious answer, but again, mind is too foggy to interpret clearly enough. Thanks in advance for answering!

Single wound per magic phase, no matter how many damned spells you cast on them.
Seem unfair? Yeah, that's what the rest of us TK players thought too. But it's alright, because Vampire Counts will get the same nerf. Oh wait, what's that? You can res one wound per casting? And heal characters? And have the same extra-movement spell as us, save that it ALSO doubles for giving rerolls AND you get to march if your general is nearby?
Welcome to the reasons why our book is so damned frustrating. You can still cobble a decent army together out of it (after much pain and suffering along the way), but feth me do I keep coming back to the frustration. Because seriously, how hard would it be to tweak some of these things in an FAQ. Or feth, even a white dwarf? I'd pay $5 for the fething white dwarf if it tweaked our rules a bit. Everybody and their mother knows we're on the bottom rung of the power ladder.
Good thing our models are so damned pretty.

Yeah, I never understood why GW loved Vampire Counts so much compared to TK. Seems a bit unfair. Kind of like how they give SM all the toys and relatively nothing to the CSM.

Because TK came out first, and were the less popular army. It's the same raw deal that Dark Angels gets every bloody edition. New book comes out and we get a tonne of new toys. Then C:SM comes out and they have all the same toys and more.
If a new TK book came out today we'd probably be better than Vampires. Sadly we're probably years away from a new book, and Vamps will be nipping at our heels with another good book as well.
That said, I still love this army. Yeah it's frustrating, but the challenge can be just as fun as it is vexing. Plus I just love throwing lots of spells around, and TK gives me all the toys to do it.

That's not it at all. It used to be an "Undead" army book. In 1999 this was made into the Vampire Counts instead, and then in 2001 Vampire Counts got a new book. Not until 2003 did the Tomb Kings show their rotting faces.
So VC was an early sixth edition army book, and Tomb Kings came in later in sixth. Which would be the opposite of what you said, except they were both popular armies.

TK got a royal nerfing when their magic was changed in the latest edition. Especially with not being able to magically charge into combat anymore.

I'm aware of the Undead Split. I'm talking about the 8th edition book here, and how the VC book objectively improves on the TK in many aspects. It's just generally a far more competitive book.

I'd debate the competitive nature of the TK book. I feel at 2.4k on even footing with any opponent, despite my terrible time against empire at events. Despite some issues with magic, ubshati, mount selection, really poor magic item, I think the book is solid.
I win with it a lot more than I lose. I played in 9 events with it in 2013, never had a losing record at an event. Only won 2 of them though, took best TK in one, and best sports in another.

Best TK general out of...what....one? Two?
I play TK too, and win a good number of my games. They're not an auto-lose by any means, but against certain lists I really struggle. Basically any Warriors of Chaos list, for example. The flying circus list especially. I really struggle against Ogres as well, and their prevalence in my meta is basically the only reason I'll never leave my level 4 death at home.
Compare that to VC, which can field better-rounded lists that perform well against a wider range of opponents.

4 at the event.
Agreed I take a lvl2 death or Arkhan I've not even tried light a whole lot due to how much focus is on death. I get my magic missile for the Hierotitan anyways.
Ogres. I find that first turn I need stuff to die otherwise it's a heavy hill to climb.
Warriors, not too bad. The DP isn't terrible if you go D&D plus casket right away.
Empire is my problem. We match up really well. but their horde is better than mine, their stank ties up a sphinx and their cannons are better than my ranged. Plus every event I roll into I seem to run into really good empire players.

That's why you don't let them charge the stank on your sphinxes, you blast them from afar with the casket. In any case, his tank is more expensive than our sphinx so who's tying up whom?
For cannon, helblasters, etc., the answer is entombed stalkers and scorpions, but yeah, cannon in general are a pain for sphinxes, hierotitans, etc.

Stalkers and scorpions won't get to a cannon, hellblaster battery quick enough, horse archers, casket, skullapult are better first turn options.
The stank is hard to avoid, when playing against double stank in a fortitude in 12" of center game. Not to mention the charge range of a stank is pretty large and being in combat with it, protects a cannon ball from smoking me.

Stalkers work best against war machines when they come up from being entombed - their high toughness/save vs shooting attacks is meaningless vs an attack that targets initiative and doesnt allow armour saves, and they get to shoot on the turn they arrive - it gives them an advantage over scorpions in that respect.

So many models, even less time.

Yeah scorpions can't charge the turn they come in, but they can ALSO pivot 360' as a solo monster. Stalkers aren't skirmishers and can't have a musician, so they have to use their piddly movement to wheel instead. If your placement with them is poor (say staring at a warmachine in a corner) they may well see just as much action as the scorpion.
Really, which you pick depends on what you're looking for. Scorps are good redirectors, mage hunters, and warmachine hunters. Stalkers are good warmachine hunters, monster hunters, and anti-armour.
