Hey guys, I'm new to DakkaDakka and wonde if you'd like to take a look at my Khornate army list-

If I were you, I would put those berzerkers in something like a rhino, preferably a landraider but YMMV. They will be shot to pieces before you even get to a frontline as marines in the open are juicy targets. Otherwise good list it has what it needs to counter things like hordes and armor, also welcome to dakka

Okay, I was actually gonna try to get up to 1500pts, so a Land Raider or two would work.
Berzerkers and Kharn are a lot of fun, and with paired with a landraider, you can outright kill or sweeping advance anything thats not fearless or marines. I had just 10 zerks sweeping advance 55 guardsman including Al Raheem(sorry if I butchered that), they can be amazing if you are a close combat lover

zerkers are nice and simple. They need transportation but rhinos simply do not suffice. I am a firm believer that the core to any zerker list is 2 land raiders full of zerkers with kharn or a lord (or both) stuck in there somewheres. Once you get into higher point games take maulerfiends, daemon princes, bloodthirsters, and flesh hounds to support your core.

Drop the Warp Talons: they are horribly expensive. Invest in more Berserkers - they tend to get shot to death on the way to their destination. If you are putting in a Landraider, put Kharn with 9 other Berserkers (or 8 if you're fluffy).

I'd rather take more raptors than warp talons if you lijke jump-troops. Give them meltas and combi-melta and u've got a nice melta-death-drop.

If you definitely want the jump troops I would drop the Warp Talon as they just don't cut it unfortunately. Increase the Raptor squad size and add Meltas.
I think your zerker squads are too small as they are your only troops and like has been mentioned before, they need something to get them across the board.
Personally in a smaller game, I would drop the Helbrute, Warp Talons and the Maulerfiend, boost the squads sizes and add a Landraider, or at least, a couple of Rhinos. Unless you know you will be fighting Space Marines I would also drop VotLW on the Zerks as they are fearless and quite possibly the Chainaxes as they aren't great either. If they had shred or something they would be worth taking.

I'd drop just about everything but the Berserkers, and MAYBE Kharn. If you're not too in love with Kharn (but being a Khorne man, I know you are  ) look into a Juggerlord with the Axe of Blind Fury.
Find points for more Berserkers with only chain swords, and a Land Raider.

Have you though about using faux zerkers?
Get a unit of CSM, add a mark of Khorne, CCW weapons for all, a few special weapons and the Khorne banner and go nuts.
That way it provides you with more utility as you move across the board (allows you to do something at 24 inches) and the special weapons will help you take out tanks/ elite infantry/ hoards.
MSU ( IMO) dont really work with CSM, due to the champion tax you need to pay per unit. I would merge the units together.
But either way good luck man

I have to agree with CaptSabre: Fauxzerkers are a great idea. 10 Berskers is 200 points. 10 Fauxzerkers (10 CSM with CCW, MoK, and Icon of Wrath) = 200 points. So you lose WS5 from the Berserkers, but you gain 24" shooting AND the ability to re-roll your charge result. It's not as good as Fleet, but it is a pretty valuable asset.

I know! Ive failed in the eyes of Khorne, ive even switched to playing mainly Nurgle marines :(
I still love Khorne though. Even if he doesnt love me :(

the Icons of wrath in both berzerker units should be dropped, they already have furious charge, so your spending all your points for a poor version of fleet. good, but not worth the points. add more berzerkers for sure, and I like the Juggarlord over Kharn. Gets across the field a whole lot faster, with almost as much killing for less points. Throw him in a squad of bikers or in one of the jump units for protection. If you bring both berzerker units to higher numbers, then use rhino's for your 1000 point list, if your going land raider though, faux zerkers is a the way to go, cheaper at a 15 man squad, sure you have -1WS, but the last 5 CSM can use some crazy guns, great for popping tanks then charging the unit that was inside.

Actually, the new Helbrute model that is due out in the next few weeks appears to come with all the options, so you should be okay to use one from the box.
I back the idea for rhinos, it would help your helbrute survive a tiny bit lager to have other armoured targets.

Yeah if you footslog your zerkers, even at 1k, they are gonna get shot to pieces. Whilst land raiders are a better option, at a low points cost I'd back rhinos

I would echo the thoughts of dropping the jump troops and going Rhino rush. What are you really set with running and what is malleable?
I would consider trading the hellbrute and the jump troops for more zerkers and transport and some better shooty options like Oblits or Havoks.

The guys on here are are right. I've played a shed load of games with Khorne, but I always play 2000 points. My reason for this? It's the only way I can get the khornate core in that I need to stand a chance of success. I'm working at the moment on trying to get it into 1500 points.
The problem is, they really NEED land raiders, rhinos really don't cut it as they're not transport vehicles, so it has to be raiders, and they're expensive.
My core is 2 squads of 8 zerkers, 2 land raiders and kharn. I have a few chain axes dotted about, more for Khorne fluff than ability. I have the a special on the champs too, as they must make and accept challenges.
The other thing to remember with chaos is they need redundancy! So 2 fiends if any at all. This becomes difficult without allies as you only have 3 heavy slots, and land raiders aren't dedicated transports! (Whoever worry the khorn book needs shooting!) I've got a thread up working at 1500 points and would appreciate some comments! Feel free to take a look.

You still need more troops. Ten MEQ models will die quickly and the enemy wins with a single objective.
I would concider the regular CSM with CCW's and MoK.
You could get enough points for them by just dropping the Warp Talons.
