I've owned a large amount of Necrons for a long time and never used them, so here's my first attempt.

HQ:

Necron Overlord - CCB, WS, MSS - 195

Troops:

x5 Immortals - Gauss Blaster, Night Scythe - 185
x5 Warriors - 65
x5 Warriors - 65

HS:

Annihilation Barge - Tesla Cannon - 90
Annihilation Barge - Tesla Cannon - 90
Annihilation Barge - Tesla Cannon - 90

Total: 780

This is for a doubles games (800 points per person 1600 total).

It's a good start, the Annihilation Barge is the best unit (for points cost) in the codex IMO, but I would put the two squads of warriors into one for reanimation protocols sake, and I don't know about the CCB

Pretty solid! Would definitely put the 2 5's into a 10 though. Give your overlord a weave with the remaining points. Either that or find 5pts (god knows where from - you've trimmed pretty much all the potential fat off!) and give the immortals a stormtek for extra vehicular destruction.
Ah - just thought. Could drop the immortals down to warriors. Now you have 40pts allowing you to get both a weave for the overlord and a stormtek for the scythe.

It seems pretty easy to take out your scoring, but if you are playing a doubles tourney, maybe you'll be fine. Do you know who you are playing with?

Can't really see it being any stronger now tbh! That is pretty leathal for 800pts!

So. As a standard 800pt list, this is very strong. As part of a doubkes team with Tau, I wonder if it's the best approach. I think the best thing about crons is the survivability and hyper mobility of their troops for late game objective grabbing.

If your tau pal took, for instance, a minimum Kroot contingent, three riptides and a buffmander - you could spam out troops and you'd probably have more game winning synergy. He can do firepower better than your annihilation barges but lacks mobile scoring.

Just a thought.
