Now i love the seers council but one of my main opponents is nids so... i am not running them.

My main opponents are guard, tau, necrons, and tyranids (2 players 2 armies each) But that is 50% of my games, the other half is against random opponents.

I like list number one more.
List number 2 is illegal, unless you are playing double FOC. Shadow council takes up an HQ slot.

theres been a 1000 posts where people think they can do this. You cant.
It says in the tau supplement that you can allie with regular tau. Says this nowhere in the Iyanden supplement.

Seer council murders nids.... but anyway list No.1 is the best.

You can't cast powers, and you usually get shot up before reaching anything you want to kill.
( I also think they should upgrade foot council because it sucks so bad right now)

A foot council would be fantastic if, the primaris power was the power that adds 3" to your run, you could then run 30"+ in the shooting faze and then shoot stuff with spears, but since its not you need weighed dice to achieve it and that makes it useless.

I think both are dumb the second more then the first but i do perfer footdar you just dont have any veriaty down there you need more avengers and scorpions! you should have Karandras be your lead he has crap tons of attacks that will stop anything in their tracks. also you should consider allying your army with another i personally picked space wolves they are supper clunkly and eldy are great as support while the space wolves can sink tons of blows with ease. But i do think that footdar is the way to go you just need to play more beil-tan than uthwe

exactly if the nid player runs a gene stealer brood up to his fire dragons they might as well shoot themselves because some one forgot the wave serpent and they have fricken one shot ap2 strength 8 rifles

.....Well good thing wave serpents have nearly entire board threat range so they can kill the genestealers and leave the fire dragons to do what they should be doing, killing MCs.
Although the fragons should have a waveserpent, like I stated above

First off they should be in a wave serpent, which basically means they will be where they are needed most at any point in time.
Second the MCs arent jsut going to stay back and do nothing. They have to come forward or be a waste of points... and the firedragons are there to counter them

and karandras has a stronger unit liiteraly stronger st 4 more close combat attacks plus man blasters plus ap 2 strength 8 power fist at I 7 (karandras's stats)

Ha yes i made a lsit jsut for fun that has 9 spirit sears buffing a bunch of different squads, and one of them is banshees. Got 2+ armor? jinx, and now its only 3+. I normally need 5s to wound you? Now i need 3s. Normally need 4s to hit? try 3s again. (threes the magic number here) And then get hit with 30 attacks that hit and wound on 3s, and ignore your once 2+ armor. Its fun if nothing else

well i did a farseer, karandras, and spirit seer with 10 scorpions, got killed by a mawlok, and 3 carnifex with 2 twinlinked devourers each.
The powers were 4++ ,fortune, 2+ save, and +1 ws/I.

I also tried asurman, died to mind shackle scarabs.

And i also played the scorps against a guard list, all tanks, just couldn't kill them.

As for allies i dislike allies i tend to not take them.
ANd for supplements(eldar is the only one that cannot ally with themselves.

Is their anyway to make foot council viable?

Is their anyway to fix the foot list to make it better?

Yes thats why i prefer not having pheonix lords and striking scorpions. Although many say that this is just a situational and is a bad example. i would disagree.

Seer council on foot=bad. Not enough armor or mobility to make it competitive at all.

A different varient of a foot council that I've found entertaining:

10 Wraithguard w/ D-Scythes
Eldrad
3-5 Spirit Seers (you can split some of these off where you think they can be more useful)
