I need help beating my friend who plays Eldar. I have blood angels and he keeps talking about how he's going to destroy me once his army is ready. Probably true due to his awesome codex and my old codex. I got him started last year and he just switched from tyranid to eldar since the doom doesn't exist anymore. So please help me beat him. Eldar experts and blood angel experts welcome.

1000 pt.
He will have roughly:
3 jet bikes
3 jet bikes
3 jet bikes
Far seer on jet bike.
Wraith lord with Laser and flame I think.
Wraith lord with same guns
4 warp spiders and 1 exarch warp spider
4 warp spiders and 1 exarch warp spider
Rangers
Fire prism.

I have access to:
x3 - 10 man assault squads. Pfists pweapons meltas and flames in any configuration.
5 man devastators. 4 missile launcher.
Libby. Axe. Jpack.
chaplain. Jpack.
x2 priests. Jpacks. (1 of these is magnetized and can be turned into corbulo proxi)
Baal pred
Vindicator
x3 mmelta attack bike
Land raider crusader
Assault terminators. 3 claws. 5 hammers.
Dreadnought. Furioso. Fragioso or standard with TL lascannons.

That looks like it has a decent chance.

Flamestorm on the baal pred would work well too to wipe those jetbikes. Those warp Spiders will hurt you... You should find a way to get another priest in there. but looks good otherwise.

i agree with the above plus just get into combat with his warp spiders before they can hit the back armor of your tanks. if you hit anything eldar with with a plasma cannon then it will surely die as well so thats always a good play. Shoot his tanks with your melta pistols they will well melt. and remember combat is your freind against this list you have higher toughness and he doesnt have any howling banshees so he has no defence against combat with your troops. Rangers Are scary they can get some realy good cover saves if uprgaded to pathfinders so run them down and fast. And use the termies they will be like terrifying to him the only thing hes got that can take them is the wraith lords and fire prism. So to counter act these two get one of your jump squads to melt his tanks. Equiped that squad with homing beakons bring in your termies and have them blow the wraith lords to smitheriens. Ive never seen how good warp spiders were ive tryed using them every one says their good but ithink you could probably kill them with your troops.

take a shooting dreadnough, twin linked assault cannon and missile launcher. Why do you need the force weapon to be an axe? all of his units have a 3+ or worse save and your librarian can do a psychic power so that it is str 10 with a force sword.

put the librarian in the unit of assault marines and charge the wraithlord. pass your psychic ability and you are str 10 with a force sword so you should instant death the wraithlord.


your army basically has no range apart from 1 tank. what are you trying to do with the 30 assault marines, what is the game plan? his eldar army looks very mobile so i dont think you will get into combat that quickly and you will get show down by his massive amount of shooting. I would probably just run 1 squad of 5 death company with jump packs with 1 power fist and the librarian attached to them. They will easily deal with the wraithlord in combat and should then be able to move onto the next wraithlord. With the remaining points take the devestator squad and the vindicator (can move 12 inches and fire as it is blood angels so is a fast tank). That leaves you with 125 points to spend on the bikes with multi meltas which you can hide behind cover and then pop out and move 12 inches and fire 24 inches str 8 ap1.

Shooting dreadnoughts are not smart. no.

If you want to take sword and shield then a sword is smart. I agree, try and instant death the WL.

5DC are going to die. sorry, but they are five assault marines with 3+5+. It's going to happen. they wont be able to get to combat.

There will be no Rangers in his 1000pt list. Just the other stuff.

So I'm thinking about taking the flamestorm to ignore his jink cover and pierce his armor with s6 ap3. Good call. Also I will get that force sword on the librarian. That makes sense.
Would it be smart to drop an assault squad and possibly the pf? That way I can take another priest and have 160 pt left over. How should I spend those 160 points to make this list more complete?

I'd have to buy that other pred. But if it's the very best option then I suppose I would, but I don't want to drop any more cash on this until we get a new codex.
Would 3 multi melta attack bikes be good here? They are reliable to kill anything really as long as they can hit. I was thinking about taking these 3 and then build a librarian on a bike instead of using the jump pack one for 160pt. Does anyone do that? I have no idea and never considered it until now. But it sounds fun to play. The bike Libby gets t5 and could allow the mm rerolls and shield. Then leave them and assault the Wraith lords when I get near enough for the instant kill.
