If we ever possess the technology to ensure desired traits in our offspring, no amount of laws will be ale to stop people with the necessary personal resources to evade or outright break those laws in order to do "the best" for their children. It's human nature. A middle path does not exist here.

You can either simply allow it all, giving rise to a class of supermen created by the most wealthy of today's citizens, or prohibit it completely.

Of those two, I'll take the second option, thank you.

It's getting to the point where if I see Marneus Calgar and the Swarmlord in the same unit as a Riptide, I probably won't question its legality.

Perhaps I'm failing hard here but I usually only consider "well endowed" to relate to a Mans genitals. Unless a giant Vagina is something that is secretly craved by women and men everywhere.

Was thinking more:

than, say, huge genitals. Around here, 'well endowed' can also mean very large breasts.

So you want women to have the worst possible back problems?

Stronger back muscles and lighter fatty tissue in the breasts. Also, catriliganeous web throughout the breast tissue to provide natural support.

BAM.

You could also do it by just adding something like certain birds have with air filled pockets Or reenforce the spine with cartilaginous rods.

I don't 'want' anything. Someone seemed confused about what I was suggesting might happen. There are people who would do this to themselves or their children.

I read it backwards and assumed the stronger back muscles and lighter bones were to give people wings.

I have never been so wrong.

I'm not a fan of tampering with humanity, but I realize restricting things, especially scientific research is restrictive at best and dogmatic at worse.

As long as the guy removing my kid's diseases doesn't have a labcoat made of human skin I'd consider it.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

The ability to modify their bodies brings out the weird in people. Personally I think it'd be a few hours after this hits that we'd see the first furries

The Yuuzhan Vong are here!

Also, people body mod their private areas as well...it's not remotely safe for anyone to view. Ever. Under any circumstances. Give people the ability to have wings, become furries, or elephantine members and they will.

The only way we can ever solve anything is to look in the mirror and find no enemy

Personally, I think it'd be interesting to have an additional limb or two. A secondary set of arms, or a prehensile tail. Would be an interesting experience learning to utilize them (if they weren't a pre-birth genemod).

Also, that last lady should get her money back for the sub-dermal implants on her head. They're not symmetrical.

Oh. maybe not. I just saw the chin hairs.

Of course, doesn't preclude it being a picture of a female, but does make it much more doubtful.
