That water seems awfully clean for something soaking nurgle bits. I kinda expected to see greenish-brown goop seeping out of the models to contaminate the water.
“Signed off work” sounds ominous. It might just be an over-the-pond terminology thing, but I hope you are doing well over there. At the very least, enjoy your hobby time!

Cheers for the thought mate. I've had really bad headaches for 9 weeks now and had several checks, scans etc with no result. Been signed off sick with some new pills so will have bouts of time when feeling ok to do some hobby work...
Maybe the contagion of Nurgle has infected me and is slowly turning me to the gods....

Such is the price of heresy.
Oof on the headaches. My brother-in-law has them not infrequently. His are often food triggered. MSG is a big one, but there are other things he avoids. Makes cooking for family gatherings fun. You might want to look into adjusting your diet if the drugs don’t work.
Feel better!

2nd Heldrake is almost done. I forgot to fill his belly in which i'll do tomorrow then he is also ready to be primed and sit next to his mate.
The idea came from Nevelon saying about lifting a tank and I was going to use a russ or something similar until the taurox kit came out and made my mind up for me.
I'm happy with the pose and just need to paint hime before guing all the various parts together. Wings are magnetized for transport but the rest will be glued to give stiffness in the balance.
C&C as always please and thanks for looking. Will endeavor to get number 3 done soon.

Even without it's tracks thee Spartan is a great looking model. Some serioous warping on the front tho to be fixed.
When are forgeworld going to realise that it's the sculpts we love, not the resin. Plastic is a much better option for casting. Costs less to produce and would have less returns/replacements. Plus lighter too.
Anywho the model looks good and will get primed soon.
Still got to do some test models for my colour scheme

Dunno yet. I'm getting really hacked off with FW. The thundehawk has huge gap too. They offer to replace the parts but not the time and material you used getting to tge broke stage.
The arrogance of the company bemuses me tbh.
I love the sculpts but at the price they charge it needs to be better.

Agreed.
It was only after I got my first FW stuff (the vulture and thunderbolt), that I realised you need a lot of modelling skills for it. Through these two models, i've cut more down to fit than I have compared to my entire marine army that came before it. I've also learnt how to effectively use GS to fill gaps (something i've not really needed to know, until now).
Never the less, with a bit of work it still looks great.

Right so I've not updated for a bit after starting to make some progress with the builds.
I have nothing new to show but did pick some MORE FW bits up yesterday.
I had a refund from my thunderhawk in vouchers so put them to good use and bought....
A Chaos Warhound Titan with plasma and laser destructor.
A Plague Hulk
Some Plague Ogres (to become mutilators at some point)
Another unit of Grave Wardens.
I'll be brutally honest and say that the Warhound aint even getting touched for the foreseeable future and the focus at the moment is very much my Scars getting finished.
I still intend to build some bits as I paint the scars but am working out what paint scheme to do my Death Guard. I want to acheive the look FW have done on their 30k models but don't know how they got there.
Any ideas?
Anyway just a quick update that may spur me on to build some more...

On the Forgeworld website under downloads they have a Legion painting guide.
Granted they may need to update the names of the paints, but I am sure you could find the matching colours, if you don't already have them.
Here is the link to the download:

Hope that helps

Cheers Dantay I'll have a look.
Don't worry Z I still have my hawk but after some serious arguing and complain about the shrinkage on the kit they have refunded it but let me keep the one I've built and painted so far.
I will be able to take a mold of the back and cast my own piece to go into the gap and then with a but of luck you'll never notice it. So ultimately it was a free hawk. I'm a lucky guy and they are a poor company. ... ,)

WOW.
I know GW/ FW are flawless in terms of customer service, but imo this is a new level. Giving you £400 worth of vouchers, crazy... Makes me wonder just how much money they make and give away in refunds.
Anyway, it's nice to see you've not forgotten your Nurglies

Been a few weeks since I got my hands nurgly so today im gonna be building. Just gonna do basic stuff that doesnt need conversion (at this point) so that I can make a dent in the box and have plenty ready to paint.
I packed my airbrush away for the tournament last week so my partner could have her dining room back for a week and will use the non paint opportunity to get rid of some sprues snd make some space.
I'll post either as I finish each piece or at the end of the day.
Things to build are
Great unclean one
Typhon
Grave wardens x 2 units
Death shroud
4 rhinos
Plague marines
Plague bearers
Bucket load of zombies
I'll see what
I can do. There is more but it either needs the resin washing or some major conversion and my head aint into that today.

Got a bit done yesterday.
Washed the 3 deimos predators, the plague hulk and ogres plus some more grave wardens.
Built up 21 plague marines (7 more to do)
Plague bearers who will be getting painted very soon
Nurgle dp
Some terms and a warpsmith
I aslo tidied up my hobby room to make space for everything and stop the better half moaning about the mess.

So, being a good little nurgling I have opened Mortarion and am in awe of the model. Unfortunatley I have packed it away with my other csm stuff so I am not too distracted from my tyranid challenge. I did put a video on youtube of it but forgot a photo.

Hey guys, this post is gonna be on all of my blogs as I think its a more than worthy cause.
A whole community of 40+ painters are putting together the 4th company ultramarines and raffling it off for the help for hero's charity so please taka a look at the link and buy some tickets. Over £7000 was raised last year for a salamanders army that 1 lucky winner got so who know it could be you this time.
I am building and painting a tactical squad and rhino for it and will run a blog to track progress. I'm not sure if I will do it as part of my scars blog or a seperate one but will also be running a youtube vlog to help promote the cause.
I'm not normally one for begging or pushing on people but believe this is worth it. Let me know your thoughts or keep me posted as you get tickets and I'll feed it all back to Nick (IDIC BEER) who is running this amazing project.
Here is the link, thanks guys http://www.idicbeer.co.uk/p/help-for-heroes-ultramarines.html

Hey guys, no post for a while as I've been committed elsewhere and also been concentrating on my YouTube channel.
I have however started work on a Nurgle imperial knight and here is a link to the first video
Nurgle Imperial Knight Conversion WIP: http://youtu.be/ZlJ13xjIyDk
I am going to put stills on here too and would really appreciate your feedback as I go along.
I've reversed the leg joints on the knight and now painted the basic metalic colour, I have also made the head for him (bit blurry) and low and behold....
...I HAVE PUT PAINT TO A NURGLE MODEL......
What do you guys think of the colour? I don't want full on 40k plague marine and also don't want pre heresy ivory ceramite so am aiming for a mid heresy damaged look.
Please let me know your thoughts....
More soon
