Hey what up, looking at getting into Warma/hordes and I pretty sure i want to start with Legion.
Im not sure where to start, I guess the Starter box? Ive done some reading and its suggested to do RAT heavy.
So im guessing something like this for a starter army? Starter box plus an addition squad or ranged units like archers?

Any help and input would go along way, thanks ;D

Starter box is a good start. If you can find someone to take Circle, the two player starter box is an even better one.

If you wan't a ranged unit to complement the starter box, go for the Striders plus Unit Attachment instead of the archers, they are more straight forward to use while the archers are more of a niche unit.

The starter box is a great place to start. You really should start small with low point games (11-15) points and the starter boxes are perfect for that.

Other than that, it is hard to know how to advise without knowing generally what you're looking for. What draws you to the game/faction? Is there a caster, beast, or model you particularly like?

Thats the prob, id totally go for the 2 player box if someone would pitch in. it seems most people in the area are already situated and all. I'll keep asking around. heck id buy it just to have 2 armies started but meh. would end up being a waste.

If that is the case, just buy the single player starter or a Warlock you like and a few beasts. What kind of play style are you looking for?

I highly recommend the 2 player box plus the Warspear UA.

You'll basically get the Circle half for free, and if you can sell it off you'll be ahead by that much.

After that, get another Heavy Kit and/or an Angelius for your next beasts. Magnetize the kit if you can. That way you can have either 2 Carniveans, or a Carnevian and a Scythean or Ravagore.

For support models, you should get 2 Shepherds and 2 Forsaken. They are why Legion can run a ton of beasts without Fury problems.

After the above models, you can get another unit of Infantry. Warspears + UA will be fine till you get to larger games when you might want a second infantry unit.
