So I started back to Flames of War. I say that because I played and painted a lot of FOW when they first came out. I am in the U.S. Army and shortly after I got into playing the game I was off to war myself several times. I have now slowed down a lot on deployments and while attending a local game shops Auction where I was honestly getting rid of my FOW minis. I stumbled across a group of guys that were playing it and wow the imagination went wild. So instead of selling my old stuff I ended up picking up the new rule book and some other minis for my son and I to play with.
I used to play Americans (of course) and now started to build a German Army so my son and I could have battles. Of course when I was playing there was not all these books depicting early and mid and late war. Much better now IMHO.

Yeah well this got all sidetracked on me explaining how I got back into it.

So let me ask.
Where can I pick up 15mm houses? I have started to pick up stuff as I see it. My local game shop doesn't seem to ever have the Battlefield pre painted houses in that I see online. I know eventually they are re releasing these things but when is that going to be? My son and I have our own game room as well as play on Wednesdays and Sundays at LGS. I have seen jr miniatures stuff but its not painted and a lot of the houses do not have detachable roofs. I would love to pick up some kind of German style Farms and houses. We are making our own Bocage and have made rivers and roads. However houses are a whole new thing and honestly just want to buy some nice painted houses that fit the rural area as well as maybe a small town street for wars in our game room. I have seen some paper building that you take the tops off and then they are ruins. Honestly I want something resin, plastic, or like that as I feel like paper wont last long in my house.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can try Miniature Building Authority if you're looking for prepainted with lift off roofs. Additionally, TheWarStore has Battlefront's 'Rural Farm Buildings" which should fit the bill, even if they're supposed to be more Eastern Front'ish.

Forgot to add that the WarStore also has the European houses up for preorder. Not sure when they're getting released but BF terrain usually flies off the shelves pretty quickly so if you're interested it might not be a bad idea to slap down some $ now.

Last I heard was the western European houses were not being produced in a high enough volume to meet demand and many orders are going unfilled by Battlefront. I sent you a PM on a spot you may be able to find what you are looking for.

4ground do some nice buildings for FoW. They're not resin, but being laser cut MDF they're reasonably strong. They work well, they're about the right size to fit an infantry stand or two on each storey.

Plastic Soldier Company carries some 15mm terrain pieces but last time I tried to order them they weren't able to fill it, trouble with keeping new stock from the manufacturer I believe. They looked really good for the price, though, and apparently PSC is very good about shipping to North America. Maybe they'll come back in stock in the near future.

The Western Houses were a "one-off" thing. The intent from the start was that a certain number would be produced, and then the production line would be switched over to the next house in the chain. And there were only twelve houses in total scheduled (one per month). As you noted, Battlefront grossly underestimated the demand for the houses, and the production numbers had to be boosted. But even with the increased production totals, it was still anticipated that the houses would only be available for a short while. And the final batch of houses was released last summer. As a result, Battlefront isn't carrying them anymore and you'll be lucky to find them at any on-line retailers.

However, Battlefront does rotate their available products. Currently they're releasing products for another real estate subscription (only five or six buildings this time, and each building is completely different, unlike the house subscription). And they've also indicated that they are once again carrying the rural church (which has an Orthodox Cross on its steeple) and the train station. Both items are only available through their on-line store.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am really liking those Miniature Building Authority houses and how they separate into destroyed buildings.
Pricey but if the quality matches what they look like worth it.
