Dark World Creations is proud to announce our first 2000AD re-release in 35mm Judge Dredd………

Cast in detailed resin and unlike our existing 70mm range these figures are traditionally sculpted. This 35mm figure measures approximately 37mm in height. This figure is supplied with a 25mm slotta base.

Hope you like

This one part of the game as well? Are you doing the Mantas and other vehicles?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

IIRC, Dark World are on a different license to Mongoose - their figures are 'technically' collectors' ranges rather than gaming. I think they are pretty big next to Mongoose's sculpts and they are pretty pricey too - currently £9.60 on Their Website / not sure if that's a price drop as my memory was that they were £12 each, but I could be wrong.

Interesting. Dredd is pretty epic, so I will be following where this ends up.

It's a cool sculpt.

Why did you choose this scale rather than 28/30mm?

Your site part answers my question
"We have chosen 35mm scale for our new range as we wanted to as much detail as possible in this range and we wanted a scale that we can keep to. This will enable us to make sure all our releases are in the correct scale to each other no matter the actual size of the miniature. 35mm scale also allows us to mount our miniatures on 25mm round slotta bases, which is the wargaming standard for a human figure."

But why was 35mm the sweet spot for you?

I'd love to use these for Mongooses game as the Warlord minis arent that great in my opinion.

I'm just waiting for enough to play a game with before I purchase any and please do Durham and Anderson in this scale.

Interestingly all the other JD minis in 35mm have vanished from the site :(

Agree - this is much better than the Warlord minis IMO.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

This would scale well with the knight models batman range, I reckon.

Mongoose's Dredd sculpts are pretty oversized, actually. These could potentially scale perfectly. But yeah, £10 per model is nothing to sneeze at...

Hmm, I was hoping for neu-style Dredd :/

It looks like a bit of a hybrid, actually. Those aren't old-school 2000AD-type boots.

Yes you are right, they are slightly off

Strange decision why not go with 54 mm then that is the usual size for display models.

Reading between the lines, they hope that people will buy the models for skirmish games not just for painting/collecting.

Just found a couple of my random Mongoose JD models.

Chief Hershey is 31mm to the eye, and 34mm to the top of her head. (standing straight)

Dekker is 28mm to the eye, and 31mm to the top of her head (but not standing straight)

Giant is 34/36.5mm (straight)

At 37mm tall, the DW seem a little bit big, but still within reason to use as well.
