Hello, and thanks in advance for your input. I have a 1500 point death korp of krieg army (run as reg guard), and the 11 vehicles in the army have the camo pattern you see on the valkyrie.

I have an imperial knight, and I plan on making the base look like muddy trenches, regardless of overall paint scheme chosen. So the feet and lower legs will be caked in beastial brown, and the one leg will be dynamically converted to appear as if stomping down!

I also will magnetize both arms at the shoulder, and on the right it will also be magnetized behind the shields so I can try both weapons options. The left will be magnetized incase gw comes out with a powerfist or other weapon in the future...

Now here are the paint ideas:

1. I used dkok grenadiers, the ones with white skulls on the face, for my troop models. I could paint the ik in the camo color of the valkyrie, and use the skull face and paint it white, the gears and such are boltgun metal of course. This ties it in to the army theme, but imp knights are seperate from guard, but this freeblade may have chosen to fit in...

2. I could make this all black, and use skull face, and paint bone colored bones on the legs, a spine along the back, ribs, etc...

3. Going a step further with option 2, I could make this look like a giant legion of the damned, with red & yellow flames & bones...

4. Finally, the last idea. There is a face for the ik that is like Boba Fett's helmet. I would paint the "metal" with boltgun, but blue ink it (like grey knights), to get the Fett clothes color, make the lower legs, upper legs, helmet, and body armor Fett green, the helmet would have red trim around visor (I would convert the trim), the shoulders and knees yelliw, and the sword and shields dark red. Parts of theback would have yellow and blue like Fett's backpack. I would make the same battle damage and all markings that Fett has on his armor. There would be no loin tabard.

The only other item to consider is, I want to have several Legion of the Damned models for this army too... Not sure is a bone or bone/flame IK will confuse people....

I am leaning towards BF... The green seen on recent freeblade model, would be similar green....

I wonder how tempted they were just to go the whole hog and call it the Black Knight, complete with the following special rules:

Got a peek at new book today. There is a green knight with yellow shoulders... Gives me better visual. Fett seems coolest.

Im contemplating going with a black scheme but painting the face plate(that kinda looks like a skull) and some details white so that its kinda got the white skull from the punisher lol
