Blood Sacrifice to Khorne

I have recently started collecting Space Wolf allies for my guardsmen to look up to.
I have a Wolf Lord and was wondering if anyone knows how effective the twin thunder hammers are?
I understand there are way more effective builds but I wanted a more cosmetic look for my lord, I would like to know if twin hammers is any good though.

not very effective . I don't see many lords played in SW armies , but if they are taken , they have a TH and a storm shield , saga of the bear and a bike or TWC.

While Dual Hammers is pretty epic, they there's a few problems. First off, you lose the chance for a Storm Shield so the best invuln you can get is a 4+ from the Belt of Russ, and secondly you are essentially playing 25 points for a single extra attack, which isn't great use of points.
That said, if you want it, go for it. Rule of cool trumps all, and 2 hammers is pretty damn cool.

There is absolutely no reason not to model the character with two thunder hammers, but arm him with a thunder hammer and a close combat weapon.
If anyone kicks up a fuss, his off-hand hammer is a sacred relic whose power field refuses to work until the Wolftime, but whose saga demands it be used in battle lest a terrible destiny shall befall the chapter.

no thunder hammer hammers in W40k can be power weapons and power weapons that look like hammers can use the power mace rules.

You could do a Thunder Hammer and Wolf Claw and get the extra Attack and the coice of Assacking on I5 when you need to.

Are Thunder Hammers specialist? I didn't realise.

Wolf Lords are pretty cool, but with the exception of striking at S10 over S8 in Close Combat, Chapter Masters are generally better, and cheaper. (Unfortunately.)
That being said, a Thunder Hammer and Wolf Claw is better than 2 Thunder Hammers. Though, I prefer a Thunder Hammer and Storm Sheild.
