We are back at it again with our next awesome tournament! Me and the guys have been putting in loads of work on our new GT format and will be debuting it here on the 22nd of March!!

You'll notice similarities to our old mission as we pay homage and move forward into the future with our BRAND NEW version 6.0!

In addition to our new mission we'll also be using our brand NEW tournament rules for army design. After loads of testing we feel like it's time for an expanded Warhammer 40,000.

It has been and will always be our goal to make Warhammer 40K the best game it can be. We are hoping that this Mission Format, as well as Army Design style is a step in that direction.

Without further ado.

[ARMY DESIGN]

2,000 PTS

Double Force ORG

HQ, Elite, Fast Attack, and Heavy units are all limited to [0-3] of any ONE unit or model in your ARMY. This includes: Double Force ORG, Formations, and Allies!!! Models that you buy as multiple per slot are an exception to this rule. Expect for those to be limited to [0-3] per choice.

[ex. You can have up to 6 Heralds because the Heralds choice itself is 0-3.]

This limit is in place to allow players the flexibility to field a unique, customized, and powerful force, while at the same time encouraging diversity among the Force ORG. Troop units, Scoring units (even those made so by an outside force.), and Dedicated Transports are *NOT LIMITED* to being [0-3]. As with anything, there are a couple of exceptions to this limit and those will be discussed in detail in our upcoming packet. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

[ex. You can only have 3 Annihilation Barges in your army.]

[ex. You can only have 3 Helldrakes in your army.]

[ex. You can have more than 3 Chosen Squads if Abaddon is your Warlord because he makes Chosen score.]

[ex. You can have more than 3 Sternguard Squads if Pedro Can is your Warlord because he makes Sternguard score.]

This includes allies, formations, and double FO. The goal of double FORCE ORG is to allow flexibility, not to just spam the best unit.

I'll have more detailed information in the rules, and mission packet as well as a list of the EXCEPTIONS to the [0-3] rule.

Forge World 40K Approved is LEGAL! Each unit will be unique [0-1]

New Imperial Knight and Legion of the Damned codices are legal!!!

Formations are legal and will be [0-1]!! Follow rules for Formations w/ a caveat that you can only bring one.

Dataslates are legal. Cypher, Belak'orm etc... all legal.

NO FORGE WORLD ARMY LISTS

NO ESCALATION

NO STRONGHOLD

[If if feels like I missed anything let me know. This is going to be A sort of LIVING RULES SET going forward. Please drop comments if you have any questions about the ARMY DESIGN rules.]

[MISSION RULES]

We'll be using the next evolution of our EG mission. It is a modified version of the one we created and we had adopted by the ATC.

We'll still use our mission structure of 3 Goals. Those being 3 black CRUSADE objectives, 2 red EMPEROR'S WILL objectives, and KP!!

The main difference is that the 3 black objectives will operate a bit differently. They will be PROGRESSIVE and give points every Turn for controlling them up to a CAP. This will lead to a more fun and a much more interactive game. New placement rules will be in effect as well for these with one being placed in the middle of the TABLE.

First Blood, Linebreaker, and Slay the Warlord will still be in effect.

There will be 30 Battle Points to be earned each game with a table being worth ALL 30.

[If if feels like I missed anything let me know. This is going to be A sort of LIVING RULES SET going forward. Please drop comments if you have any questions about the MISSION rules.]

---

Our brand new EG Tournament Packet will be up very soon with all the rules in a more detailed structure.

Is the 0-1 FW limit applied to FW units in FW army lists as well? IOW, if I bring a DKoK army am I crippled with a 0-1 limit on every single unit in my army list, or does the standard 0-3 limit apply?

Also, I really don't understand why knights are legal despite being superheavy walkers with D-weapons but nobody else gets to take their superheavies. Doesn't this seem kind of unfair?

@ Peregine. Knights are legal, because they are not classified as Lords of War. The Escalation LOW units are 0-1 where the Knights are designed to be fielded in multiples. I feel like we have given players plenty of options to deal with them based on our format. This will be a good test run for them. I don't feel like they will dominate, but we'll see.

As far as the FW army lists, I have decided to remove those from being legal. I don't feel like I have time to properly test what will/won't balance. Sorry for any confusion on that note. You are welcome to being the DWOW as IG though.

I'm not concerned about knights being too powerful, I just think it's unfair that Imperial armies get access to superheavies while everyone else doesn't. A Malcador or Tigershark is no worse than a knight (and, in the case of the Malcador, quite a bit weaker), so it doesn't make any sense to allow one but not the other. It's like banning flyers, except allowing C:SM to take Stormravens because they got a special formation that includes one.

Never mind then. That makes my army illegal, so I guess I'll just have to wait until you guys decide to drop the limited-FW house rules.

We are taking steps in the right direction on the FW front. Most places still don't allow it, so we are moving forward at a steady pace.

I unfortunately won't be able to participate, my armies aren't up to scratch at this time. I will however be coming by, your guy's events are always a hoot and there's the Brickhouse next door to get in some NCAA coverage as well!

Any chance those Helbrute formations will be legal for the event?

Not for this one. Unfortunately it is coming out the night before the event. Don't think it'd be fair to have it be legal. Had it released last week, then it would be. Will be legal next time. Damn those new models look sweet and the formation rules sound pretty cool so far.
