Hello dakka,

heading for a KT tournament this Saturday. I am still unsure about my list. I am hesitating between bringing my orks or my sisters.
Orks would be as such :
ork mob: nob with big choppa and heavy armor (leader) 10 shoota boyz, 1 boy with rokkit launcha (specialist one with master craft)
ork mob: nob heavy armor (specialist with fleshbane) 10 shoota boyz, 1 boy with rokkit launcha (specialist with prefered enemy)

Lots of bodies, rokkit to kill those marines with some specialisation to try to make them more reliable. A nob with fleshbane throwing tons of attack in cc, and a leader with big choppa just because I like the model. I have already tried this list and I am not convinced by it within the new rule set. Even if there is a lot of model, as soon as I start to run break test the opponent just have to sit back and watch my army running away.

The other list would be as such
6 Battle sisters : Sister superior (leader), 3 battle sisters, 1 sister with flamer, 1 sister with heavy flamer
5 dominions: Sister superior, 4 sisters with melta

not sure about the specialists yet. Certainly one dominion with master craft, and something on the heavy flamer.

I am expecting a lot of bikers, specially Marines ones. Hence the sister list, with a strong alpha shot with ignoring cover meltas with scout to be in range turn one.

Any thought? Which one do you think will perform best? Any good combo at this format for both army?

How do the sisters ignore cover with their meltas? Just curious. I don't know eff all about Adeptus Sororitas. No one around here bothered to get the digital dex because the guys who owned Sisters armies read up on it online and decided it wasn't worth owning that army anymore. They tend to overreact to things.

If it's something granted by being in a squad with the Sister Superior, then it wouldn't work for Kill Team as each squad is independant. Again, though, I have no idea how Sisters work so feel free to inform me.

Something fun to do with Heavy Flamers is go specialist Poison 4+. It essentially lets you reroll the wounds with it because how often do you encounter better than T5 in Kill Team? It's not very common. I think the only guys who can do it are Chaos Bikers/Nurgle Spawn, which granted are really great in kill team.

Not sure Orks do all that well in Kill Team because they will actually have to rely on whatever their default leadership is rather than mob rules like they would normally. Each guy being an independant unit really hurts them. You can drown them in bodies but once you lose half your force, it's pretty painful.

I would go with the dominions as like you said there will lots of bikes. Even though it leaves you a bit light on anti troop it's a kill team mission so will be facing a dozen or so less per team so you will be fine.

Having the scout ability can be pretty useful as well and of course the ability to ignore cover with their aof will really throw a wrench in the first biker squad you target.

If you are looking for tips on how to best purge Hersey check out this thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/558526.page

Many of us bought the digital dex and are playing with our armies despite the propaganda spread by heretical scum

They may to take a leadership test at the beginning of the shooting phase once per game. If the test succeeds, they have the ignore cover rule for the duration of that phase.

1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl)

thanks for the advices!

That's a very good idea. I know that someone will bring Nurgle bikers but hey, Melta are here for this.

I am going in with this list:
5 Battle sisters : Sister superior veteran with combi flamer (leader), 2 battle sisters, 1 sister with flamer, 1 sister with heavy flamer (specialist: poison)
5 dominions: Sister superior, 4 sisters with melta (one specialist: Master craft, one specialist: infiltrate)

Taking the veteran for the increased leadership for break test.

I will see how it goes
