What IS that? It looks Khorne-y, so I'm guessing its some kind of chaos knight or titan?

Now on my desk - 1 Eldar Falcon tank and 3 Eldar Vypers. These are the first vehicles I have ever painted, and sadly I have no airbrush or airbrush experience.

Also, as suggested earlier in this thread, I made a painting blog thread following the progress of painting this army from scratch. Now on day 13 and have 59 painted figures completed.

Making some snow Tau. I figured I'd get the infantry out of the way first, since that's the most time consuming for me. Got the torsos and legs pinned and primed, heads primed, bases primed...starting to paint the bases, paint the feet and then pin them to the base.

It looks fine from the northern hemisphere

Just kidding. iPads are finicky with pictures. When I take pictures with mine, I need to have the bottom button on the right, or else it flips it, even if it looks correct in the preview.

Thanks I'll try that next time, either that or I'll move to the opposite hemisphere so it's the right way up for everyone else

Currently working on my soon- to be shelf dweller knight errant.

about to get to the stage where I seal the armor plates, then i need to prime the weapons... this model was a bit harder than i was expecting (due to the scale) but that just made it more enjoyable. Also, I LOVE the new typhus corrosion technical paint, it makes grime and mud so easy to do, the trick is to apply liberally, then wipe it away before it dries.

I love typhus corrosion and ryza rust. If you aren't going for a painting competition those two are all you need for rust and gunk. Blood for the blood god is nice too, haven't had a chance to try the others. That's a lot of giant checks

The special effects paints are the greatest things to have happened in my ammeter-painter life. I'd never have been able to pull of blood before, but with BFTBG I can do it easily. Probably gonna pick up the rest of the set.
Wow that sounded like an info-mercial

Out of curiosity, why is there what appears to be green stuff on the bottom corner of the flap thing (Forgot what it was called)? It doesnt look like it was altered, but then I dont know space marines much

I obviously cannot fully speak for him but the most likely reason you see some green stuff there because that half-tabard is from the Deathwing Command Squad box and looks like this:

He removed the broken sword icons (which are heavily involved in Dark Angels iconography) to make it more suitable for use for a pre-Heresy Emperor's Children model. The green stuff was probably just to smooth out the cloth on the tabard a little bit.

After removing the icons, the tabard was pretty scratched and i had to repair it. Exactly how scootypuff wrote

@TableTopJosh - Just because I noticed you were asking for C&C, for a beginner, those IG and SW are looking pretty decent. To be honest the only improvements I can offer are a second sharper highlight on the guardsmen, and possibly thinning your paint a touch on the SW - other than that they're looking pretty ace, especially that Manticore!

I'm rather enjoying this WIP thread, less pressure to put out a finished image! (Making me think, yet again, about a blog...)So for my own efforts, having finished my assault squad (I'll get round to some professional pics soon), with the exception of one plasma pistol yet to be done, I've moved onto a Rhino - my first ever tank. So, I decided to suitably Salamanders it up, starting with a small scene some of you may recognise from Nick Kymes recent Novel 'Vulkan Lives'...

The finished assault squad - Ignis Gladii (The Fire Swords):

The start of 'Nocturnes Wrath':

Is that a knight? If so, knights look fething weird pre-assembly.

It appears to be a DreamForge Leviathan Mortis. Definitely a cool model.

Lol no... ScootyPuffJunior (looove the name btw) is correct, but I use them as knight proxies. I actually made my first one up before all this Imperial knights business to use as a corrupted knight with my own homebrew rules and GW was nice enough to make actual rules. If they hadn't been stupid and denied Chaos the use of them I would have been really happy. I haven't had any issues getting the first one in game as an allied Knight, so it's all good. I am intersted to see what they come up with once they actually make a FW or GW Chaos knight though. When the mortis is finished it will look something along the lines of my crusader gone Hell Knight:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/570038.page

They are admittedly a little over scale for a knight, but I still love the model.
