I picked up a mistreated 3rd edition battle box with 18ish untouched dark eldar warriors, an old rule book, and some terrain. My group is using the terrain, and I wanted to sell the dark eldar because no one in my group plays them. Anyone know about how much I could get? Thanks.

I don't know about the US, but I wouldn't expect you to get much for them. The old warrior sculpts are just horrible compared to the much more characterful current models, but without the nostalgia factor that, for example - the original Rogue Trader Space Marine sculpts have. They're also fairly common since more people bought the 3rd box set for the SM than the DE.

You might get something for them though, one-mans-junk and all that, I'd suggest posting something on the Dakka Swap Shop forum (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/show/11.page).

I had that lot put together and primed black since back in the day. Hardly never used them and finally practically gave them away on a sell with some tau models.
So yeah.. I wouldnt say much bit it can't hurt to try

Cool, thanks for the info. I got these for 7 bucks and sold some of the marines that were inside for 10, so I'm just glad to get a profit on this.

Sounds like a good deal

My gaming group are still using the ruins that came with 3rd for terrain (although the trees didn't survive much use).

The old 3rd ed starter box is how I got started in this hobby, and by gum do I love it. That land speeder is best used for terrain because it's impossible to build right and the Dark Eldar are some of the worst plastics GW's ever made, but the terrain is neat, the Marines look just fine next to the modern ones, and the jungle trees are a fun little addition. If you got the 3rd ed rulebook in there also, it's totally worth a look. Lots of great fluff, artwork, and photography.

I still use those warriors as my main troops. The new sculpts are used as trueborn. Makes them stan out as elites.

On the other hand, new warriors as trueborn are the only non 3rd ed DE I have, so I'm kinda off from the norm.

The rulebook also had a disintegration problem with the early printings. GW was quite good about replacing them, but I somehow doubt they would these days.

Of the two 3rd ed speeders I put together, one went together fine, the other had some warping. I think they were my least favorite plastic kit until the drop pod.

I’ve still got the barrels and tanks traps primed in my to-paint pile. I’ll get to them eventually.
