This is a video of my new City Fight 40k terrain I have been working on, which still needs some detail work to be done. I thought I would share it to see if someone gets some helpful hints or inspiration from it. I also welcome any feed back also.

I love it! very well executed. The sidewalk idea is especially awesome and just how modular it is. Top job very impressed.

Thanks, it has taken me a while to plan this out and to finally make it.

One of the things I did that I didn't point out in the video is I used a wood carver and my dremel to create some small craters throughout the board also.

What do you think of the strips in the road. I think they are a little to bright. I have sanded them a bit but I need to do some more.

Yeah the road stripes were the only thing I was going to point out that I would change but then I got to the part of the video when you said they weren't completed yet. Maybe a wash or make it so it has worn off the road in places to break it up a bit (you said you have sanded it so that might have donr the trick, you should post a picture.)

You might get a bit more recognition if your post was in the painting and modelling section instead of the tutorial section like it is.

Good luck anyway I really enjoyed the tour of the city and have put a few ideas away in my memory banks for my own future board.

Wow

This is great!
Some friends and I have just started working on our own Table.
And this is quite imaginative and inspiring!

Keep up the good work!

Here is a thread with some of my batreps and the last one is my Orks versus Iron Hands on the new board. Give a better look at it when there is some carnage going on.

Nice board, y only gripe is the fact that the roads have no damage on them, but other then that love it!

If you watch the battle report you will see that he has added damage/craters.

It is hard to see but I used my Dremel to make cracks throughout the roads and in some places I used a wood carving tool to make some craters. I still have lots of work to do on the board to make the details show up more. Plus I think I could download the video at a higher resolution to maybe show more detail.

Thanks for checking it out.

Looks fantastic. You mentioned adding another board into the set. I could be interesting to have a tree lined park as a long strip through the city. It would make for a different set of movement/cover options and would theme in well, especially with the small park you already have around the statue.
