Hey guys,
Im looking to give one of my leaders a pet wolf, and its between the cyberwolf, larger thunderwolf and the original fenrisian wolf.
What one would be the ideal size for a larger then normal imperial guardsman?

Well if you want a absolute beast of a pet wolf go for the Thunderwolf, you cant really find a bigger and badder wolf like creature in the 40k setting, barring DoC things that is

I don't think Thunderwolf and pet go well together, a normal Fenrisian is a bit larger than a normal imperial guardsman.

To be fair, in the current SW codex there is no way that a guardsman (no matter how big) could hope to tame a Thunderwolf. Probably not even a normal Frensian wolf for that matter. They are as large as cars and actually pretty ferral.

His best bet would be a cyber wolf. Still a wolf, but it would have implants and what not that could easily be said to modify behavior and actually make the wolf behave. Especially when around other guardsmen. The TWC and a Frensian wolf would probably see other guardsmen as little more than a smorgasbord.

Yeah, Cyberwolf would be cheaper too, you only have to buy 1 (assuming you don't go the Ebay route of course).

Cyber wolf, makes the most sense and would fit the look of a IG army better imo than a fenrisian or thunder wolf

Thanks a lot guys, I never read into the lore about the wolves in the SW codex which I probably should have done. I think I will got with the cyber wolf as my company comander has multi biotic implants and replacements so they make a good pair.

Any good ideas on names haha?
