Would love a remake/edition to the Alien vs. Predator line that didn't suck.

@mcgroinis: I'm with you on the Republic Commando update, loved that game to pieces.

Honestly? I'd love a remake of Metal Fatigue with an AI that wasn't a whore of a cheat.

Honorable Mention: An HD update of Age of Empires 1 would be pretty sweet I think.

Sacrifice, Unreal Tournament 2k4.

Either one would keep me occupied for a long long time.

I'd say that a updated version of KKND or a remake of that game series would be cool.

Theses games would also be cool to see remakes or updated versions of :
Moonstone
Dominion
Submarine Titans
Arcanum
Master of Orion
Battle Isle

YES. Love that game, still play it quite a bit. The characters were cool, the squad command element was awesome, and it was just generally great. Throw in some characters from Clone Wars (Rex, Echo and Fives, anyone?) and you'd have a game that was beyond epic.

#1 choice is the classic Konami X-Men arcade game that held character ties to the X-Men pilot episode, "Pryde of the X-Men". Give me updated graphics, a light and a heavy attack, a throw button, and the jump and mutant powers can stay the same. And if you take out "welcome to die!", well, you don't deserve to game!!

After that, I'd like to second an updated Dark Forces with the graphics improved. I'm pretty sure gameplay can stay as is.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

on the forum. Obviously

Blood and Duke Nukem. Both remade by Flying Hog, because they seem to know how to make a proper revised old school game.

Nocturne (the TRI game, not the other one). This time with some sort of data log thingy that explains, in detail, the creatures that you face.
Nocturne and the Bloodrayne games do seem to have an interesting little mythos going on...a pity they never elaborate on it :/

And as far as Arcanum - if they remade it, that would be awesome. If they bastardized it into some sort of Fallout3ish monstrosity... pass. Strong pass.

Sadly for this Obsidian was in the planning stages to make a White Wolf RPG..

Then those Eve Online bought them out, and now we have a vaporware MMO. joy.

Its not vapourware though, its just been in development for a long time. CCP are aiming to produce a genuinely different MMO though, which will apparently be much closer to DayZ than WoW, so in all likelyhood the wait will be worth it.

Yes, very bad. An Arcanum remake would be welcome given that I can't get the original to work, but only if it has an isometric perspective. Fallout 3 was not the Fallout 3 I was hoping for given that it was essentially Oblivion with guns.

I suspect that the reason for the lay offs last year was that whatever prototype that CCP was developing wasn't working and they went back to the design stage. CCP was also focusing quite heavily on EvE and I'm sure that Dust was a finanical disppointment for them as well.

Given that World of Darkness is still in active development by around 50 people I think its a little early to describe it as vapourware.

Basically do you want another run of the mill MMO in the short term or do you want something as distinct as EvE in the long term?

I hate Eve for note, so that's not exactly a good argument.

I hate the spreadsheet nature of it, the cut-throat aspect of everyone on it, the fact that it's promoted real life terror at times due to its scarily dedicated fanbase...

And that down at the core it's a very boring series.

I mean I would love something interesting, unique and such, but they've been hiding most of the details for a while now and havn't exactly been forthright into their processes or even what they are planning beyond 'This'll be cool, it'll be like X and Y and all Zish.", and those 50 people were before it got reduced by about 15-30 people.

This is pretty much how Dark Millennium was, and that barely got past fancy trailers, currently CCP has spread itself too thin with Eve (Not to mention a few failed things), Dust (Also not exactly well received), and WoD. It's the sign of bad planning beforehand and that CCP really needs to get it's act together. Most of the outlier stuff is dependent upon Eve's successes as well.

I dislike when what is to be a major MMO that has been worked on since 2006 as an open-secret, officially announced in 2010...And yet is still being 'designed'... Once again, poor planning, and while I would love to be my hunter vs the various monsters in the darkness, I just don't feel it's going to end up well enough.

While I hope to raise a candle in the darkness for the MMO...I just don't have much hope.

Probably has something to do with releasing a spin off of a popular PC game but not having a PC version. People tried to explain to CCP that made no sense at all, but they didn't listen. *Shrugs* No one ever said devs were smart.

I'd probably have played it on PC, but I have no interest in playing it on console.

Eve needs to address its radical power imbalance, which is only growing worse as time goes on. people have have been in that game from the beginning are so much stronger, and given the nature of skills/experience, newer players have an exceptionally harder and harder time getting into the game.

I never understood the logic of Dust's release, CCP are being strangely coy about the platforms that Valkyrie is going to be on as well.

The power imbalance isn't that bad as its a very layered game. After 2 months play time (ish) you can make almost as much isk mining Veld or Scor as someone who has been playing for 5 years as there are only a few applicable skills that apply to high sec mining. The same is also true in PvP as new players can fulfil specific niches with minimal training, admittedly those roles are usually bait or cannon fodder but they are still viable. Obviously someone who has been playing for a long time will have access to much more profitable activities and will be much more proficient at PvP but that is only to be expected. If anything I would say that EvE is less imbalanced than most MMOs in terms of player power, a level 90 in WoW is completely immune to a level 1 player but an Eve player who has been playing for years can be killed by someone who has been playing a month in the right curcumstances.

I'd love to see another game in the Oddworld Universe, preferrably the first half of Stranger's Wrath.

Jade Empire as mentioned above.

Sid Meir's Pirates! or just another really good pirate game in a similar vein

Duke Nukem that isn't terrible. Although that may be my fault for not being fifteen years old anymore.

KOTOR could do with another installment. I hear Disney has a few bucks.

Oh dear lord, you just unlocked the joyous vaults of my early PC memory......so I would like to see the following game modernized and remade....

WING COMMANDER - I don't care which one, 1, 2, 3, 4, privateer, etc., just MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Master of Orion - seriously, how has this not happened?
Impossible Mission - yes, the old C64 game....if only to get to hear "STAY A WHILE.....STAY FOREVER!" again.
Hacker - Once again, probably not a good game, but I remember it far too well. Couldn't think? Couldn't get much farther than the copy protection.
M.U.L.E. - There may be a reboot. Not sure. Still, simple is good.
TIE Fighter - YES. TOTALLY AGREE. HAS TO HAPPEN. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. My old 486 had horrible RAM and NO graphics card and I STILL got an invigorating, thoroughly enjoyable space simulation. GO ON, LUCASARTS!

While I'm talking about Lucasarts.....

GRIM FANDANGO SEQUEL PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY!

What else....umm...Space Quest, King's Quest, Quest for Glory.....JUST BRING BACK SIERRA ADVENTURE FOR THE IPHONE.

Okay, that's about it. For now. Probably re-posting in five hours.

-RD

EDIT - OH, AND ALL OF THE OLD EPYX GAMES SHOULD BE REDONE AS WELL.

Nightmare Creatures had an interesting premise burdened with repetitive gameplay and dated graphics, it could do well with a total reimagining.

I was a huge fan of the pace as well as the potentially ridiculous customisation. It's not every day you see a mech with its cockpit mounted behind its legs and a jetpack strapped to it somewhere. Bonus points if it's got that huge, unwieldy command antenna on it, too.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
