The store owner didn't have anything to do with the website, why even complain to him about it.

Because it was the topic of conversation... HIS conversation. I didnt initiate the complainathon or anything guys... just got shunned for jumping on the band wagon and adding to his list of things wrong with the site.

So what? You caught him doing naughty stuff he shoudn't have been doing in the first place, and you were surprised he zipped up when caught, instead of letting you join?

xD I take it all back... the man was right!

You get it with the purchase of the first one therefor you must buy separate the second one and pay extra shipping or more models!

I bought $100 worth of stuff I was going to buy anyway. Completed that transaction yesterday (Saturday morning). I still can't see the 2nd model on the site anyway. How do you find it? I had a couple more things I needed so figured I'd get it with free shipping.

Here I hope this link works

Thank you. I appreciate that. I misunderstood the earlier comment about how to unlock that figure. I for some reason figured it would a digital unlock of some kind. Not that it would be a code written on a piece a paper I got with the first figure in the mail. But, that was me misreading. Thanks again for the link.

lol wow... just wow.

youve all missed the point entirely.

The manager was basically having a chortle at his own companies expense. WHILST I was browsing the store within ear shot.
When I made a small contribution to the conversation (perhaps I was unwelcome too or something idk) the reaction I got was less than friendly, the conversation quickly turned to bashing the customer base for being whiners no matter what happens.
This is what annoyed me, not that he wont bash GW with me in their own store... he was doing it first ffs :/

Wait, so he was criticizing the company first, and then got defensive when someone else joined in?
Now those are some double standards.

Ah I think your being a little harsh there, we all do that to some extent don't we?

Everyone slags off their brothers or sisters at some point, but Its perfectly understandable that they get defensive when others do it. The same goes for towns and villages, my mate from Glasgow always goes on about how its a gak hole full of drunks and slappers, but he still gets annoyed if some bloke from London does it. People from Middlesbrough are the exact same too.

I don't think its a big deal, the GW guy was doing something that most people have a tendency to do, I think its a perfectly ordinary quirk in human behavior.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Maybe... I must be learning tolerance in my old age. Shame really... I never used to have any time for that gak!

Sheesh, all this over a webstore!

All-in-all, the guy shouldn't be bashing his own company while wearing their uniform; that's just tacky. However, if you're going to BE tacky, the best thing to do is be in for a penny, in for a pound. Use it as a segueway to sales. "Yeah, those webstore boffins don't always know which end is up, but if you buy the stuff here I'll personally make sure you're getting what you need." Since I don't know if webstore orders placed for pickup at the store factor into their sales numbers or not (I'd be leaning towards not, but I don't know) that could have salvaged the situation nicely.

One of our engineers from Apple (and there's a company you'd expect to have cult-think if ever there was one) knows that his company screws up badly on the regular. He's in the habit of saying the company line, and then as an aside going "but with my badge in my pocket, yeah...that was a massive foul-up" and his boss is the same way. Everyone has a good kvetch about the mistakes made elsewhere in their company now and again, but it IS bad form to try and change horses midsteram when a new challenger appears.

Yep, it's what I would do in those situations too. That's because people like to feel they're dealing with human beings and not company drones, having a quiet word where you "say what you really think" is an easy shortcut to building rapport. Hell, I wouldn't want to put my hand on my heart and swear I didn't just agree with whatever my customers had issues with just for those purposes at some point or another.

We find comfort among those who agree with us - growth among those who don't. - Frank Howard Clark

The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox

I think at this point we can put this one to bed, pending any further developments on the website.
