I thought about this. I am not sure I really want my fragile Rhinos driving up to template range either. I really have no intention of disembarking the Battle Sister squads until late game to pick up objectives, unless I have a very good target to hit with two templates.
- Laud Hailer on one or both of your Dom Immos. When they jump out, you want it to count.
Hopefully I am in range of Celestine, but that's not a given. But I agree Laud Hailers are amazing.
- Plasma Cannons instead of MM for your Servitors and some bullet catchers for their squad. You have so much melta, that some AP2 templates with Prescience or Perfect Timing would be ace.
I can't move & shoot plasma cannons while riding in the Chimera though. Granted, I want to move the Chimera as little as possible so that the
MM Servitors aren't snap firing. Regardless, the servitors will likely get Prescience either way from Coteaz or the Inquisitor.
- A neat trick with Servitors/Coteaz/Inquisitor is to take a Bastion and put one squad on top and one squad inside.
With Plasma Cannon servitors I'm guessing? I hadn't thought about that. I do like the S6 Heavy Bolters that the Chimera are bringing, but I'll have to see how this would work out in the list.
- What's your plan for Relic? You have no solid troops choices to grab and run.
My plan was to use the Servo Skulls near the relic to stop my opponents from doing any Scout/Infiltrate shenanigans to grab it early. Then if able, scout up my Dominions past the Relic, creating a wall with the Immolators. Mid to late game, disembark a troop to grab the relic and shield them with all of the vehicles if able to.
- Personally, I think the Seraphim are a waste nowadays. I'd rather spend the points on a big BSS squad and walk them up the field with Celestine, but YMMV. This would also be handy for the relic.
I've tried the big
BSS squad a few times, but it always seems like I'm spending a lot of points on a really slow unit that gets shot to heck. It is a good unit, but I'm not usually going to assault on my terms, and shooting down Sisters isn't that hard to do. Celestine cannot tank all the wounds because of how large the squad is. That's ignoring the common S6+ guns that will insta kill her. And the unit's shooting isn't that great either, at least not for all the points spent on it.
I understand the Seraphim not being the best thing either as I've thought about chopping them & Celestine. But the thing is, game after game they have wrecked things. Now, this may be since I am probably not against the best of the best super
GT opponents.
