Can Meks in units of Burnas and Lootaz take equipment like the HQ? Mega Armor, KFF, Etc? Because I'm imagining what units of Lootas and maxxed out Meks with SAG's would look like

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

3 HQ, 9 Troop, 3 Heavy, 3 Fast, 3 Elite. Minimum is 1 HQ 3 TROOP.

This is OPTIONAL instead of the standard FOC, you can still use the core books one.

Precisely. They get +1 cover if they turbo boost now, otherwise no improved cover at all.

With the looted wagon out, and the feeling this is about half of the actual codex with the rest being DLC to come later I may not bother.

Still collecting the models as I like them, well some of them, but not sure I like the way this is going.

Stickbomb chucka upgrade on the vehicles seems pretty useless. From what I can see only the weirdboy and painboy, along with grots infantrywise dont have stikkbombs already. Why pay for that upgrade.

Also bikers dont have stikkbombs, whats up with that?

I'm still going to reserve judgement until I've seen the full book. The thread consensus with the Astra Militarum Codex was that it was going to be a massive disappointment on par with Tyranids but look at how wrong that turned out.

well... they get +1 for turbo boost, and a 4+ for jink... so thats 3+ cover now instead of 4++ if I am reading it right


gotta say im shocked that shoota boys went up in cost...

No stat changes to any of those weapons.

Kill kannons half the old price on the battle wagon.

Kill saw is str x 2, ap2, unwieldy armourbane specialist weapon.

Instead of having d6+12" movement in the movement phase stormboyz are now 12" movement and can run 2d6 but take dangerious terrain? I call that a massive nerf as running causes you to lose 14% of your models and reduced your potential assault range.

GW nerfing already bad units and nerfed zagstruk. Please tell me I'm missing something on this.

You die alot less often from your packs though, in the past whenever you moved or fell back a 1 killed a guy, now its only if you run, you still get your 6+ armour. Yes they are moving mildly less, but they kill themselves significantly less.

big thanks to melcavuk for all the info


the 5++ is confirmed to grant it to the units within 6" which is a big buff,

cheaper bikers with a 3+ cover instead of 4+, cheaper rokkit boys...

shockingly boyz stayed the same/have to pay 1pt for shootas...
now that they have a 5++... honestly... I can put a looot of cheap t4 5++ wounds on the table, 6 pts for that on a model with 3 attacks base is pretty decent, not like spamming mobs of boys wasnt already kicking butt...
