I would be happy with beastmen, squats (chaos flavored, please) and lizardmen (slann).... BUT my favorite WF faction by far is the Skaven. Love them. Moving them to 40k would be like a dream come true (up there with Chaos Legions, Dark Mechanicus and a proper Sisters of Battle / Ecclesiarchy relaunch).
And no that thing from Xenology is not a Skaven, it is a Hurd. It was rumored for years that they were the same becaude Hurd look somehow rat-like (including a tail) in old background. But Hurd are xenos, and skaven are chaos related. Mutated humans? Mutated rats? Hybrids? Whatever they are, skaven are really close to beastmen, only cuter and more aesthetically pleasing. But they are not an alien species. Of course there are giant evil mutated rats living in the darkest places of humanity´s hive worlds and titanic spacecrafts, moving in the shadows. Xenos is good, this is better.
Seriously: compare Psienesis´ cute, sexy, charming Skaven with that somehow acceptable (barely) thing from Xenology. Having more xenos is great and Hurd are ok... but they are not Skaven.
About Mantyc´s Veer-Min (ha ha hilarious name; seriously, such a good pun: Veer - Myn; Vermin! ha ha)... while I like most of the stuff Mantyc does, here they have utterly failed me. Really ugly models. And, seriously, the background and the models from GW are among the very best they have ever done.

Back in the Rogue Trader book they had Slaan. And they were just as viable a force as anything else was back then. I guess they got "Slaaned."

I'm sorry. I couldn't help it. On a side note, dang but GIMP is unintuitive to use for someone who doesn't do photo editing...

It's unintuitive for everyone else as well.
There's a reason that it's free...

Gimp is so user unfriendly that it's instructions could have been scrawled in by the flabby claws of Cthulhu and it'd actually be an improvement in terms of accessibility. You'd at least become divorced enough from normal human thought processes to make sense of it.

Lol.
Hey guys, I just found this ancient, leatherbound tome that claims to be a Gimp user manual. Should I read it...
... out loud?

I dunno, I think that either causes Shub-Niggurath to arise from it's fen of a thousand young and swallow the sun or results in the 40k fanon wiki now being completely canon.
50/50 chance man.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised. |

I see the fanon wiki's reputation precedes it.
