I painted these up with the intention of using them for gaming initially, but being as they're finecast...they're extremely delicate models. Far too fragile to use for gaming, the slightest touch or drop will break arms off. So I decided to make a scenic base for them. Maybe I'll use them for gaming, but I'm afraid stuff will break. I've already broken several arms off during the painting of them.

For these I used a variety of paints, including Badger's line of paints, of which I got a free set heh. I also tried to expand my bounds as a painter and not just straight up dip the entire model in Devlan mud, something I've done on virtually every GW model I've painted. I really like how their skin and tunics turned out.

I really love the sculpts, some of the best GW has made, but that damn finecast! These really remind me of the Cenobites from the Hellraiser series of movies. The female figure is from coolminiornot.com, she's a Counts-As Haemonculus.

The base is a cheap pine base from hobby lobby, stained with Minwax and the groundwork is all done with insulation foam and floor tile adhesive, with real rocks. Used Army Painter premade flocking and some plastic plants from hobby lobby. Base is painted with Apple Barrel Walmart paints and AK washes.

Hope you enjoy, C&C most welcome!

What is the name of that CMON figure? She's a pretty dope addition to a unit of wracks! (A unit that, just to mention, is already pretty dope! Great paint work!)

Thanks, I want to say she's called the Domina of Torment, but I'm not quite sure. She was one of those limited runs CMON does.

Just awesome. I love display bases such as this one. Great!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

The barren base really suits the rather held-back nature of the Wracks. Is the blue skin-tone a hint at the story in the DE codex where the Haemonculus steals thousands of Tau to turn into Wracks and Grotesques? If so, I love you and you're awesome

Lovely models!

The counts as Haemonculus is from Avatars of War, though she doesn't appear to be on their site any longer. CMON may be the only place to get it at the moment.

Great looking squad! I really love the way the purple plants on the bases compliment the icy skin tones.

No, it's more of a nod to the Cenobites from the Hellraiser movies, and it also fits in with my desert Dark Eldar w/ Eldar allies, all using this paint scheme and basing. I wanted them to be dead looking, like they've replaced their blood with embalming fluid or some other alien chems and it's made their skin corpse-like.
