Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered before, but the search engine is popping up an error whenever i try it.
:-(

I paint both fantasy and sci-fi figures, and have always in the past given them a spray with GW's varnish - which is always very glossy whatever name GW currently sell it under.
Over the top of this, I always like to spray a matt varnish. I've tried lots and lots of matt varnishes in the past and the only one I've every found to actually be matt was Testor's Dullcote.

I'm now down to my last can of Testors and have discovered that trying to get it in the UK is akin to hunting for rocking horse poo.
I see TheArmyPainter produces a matt varnish to go over their dipping varnishes/quickshades. Has anyone tried TheArmyPainters anti-shine matt varnish? Is it as matt as Testors Dullcote?

Thanks for any replies.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

Thanks for this. :-)

Only problem now is to get the site to recognise that my address is a valid UK address as it refuses to issue me with a carrier.

1.) Current GW spray is "Satin", which is halfway between matte and glossy.
2.) I have heard good things about the Vallejo Matte Spray. Sorry, don't use Varnish Sprays myself.
3.) Generally, sprays are classified hazardous if transported by plane AFAIK. Not sure if there were additional problems with Testor's Dull Coat chemical composition. So that might be behind the trouble to ship it to Australia.
