Ghost arks easy, because you can move up to 12 movement and shoot snap shoots and it is open top so you can have 10 necrons or 9 necron warroirs with a crytec shot out of the top,and it can repair warroirs easy, the doomdays ark it is just not good enuff ,and it cannot move and if oyu move you lose the power of the gun,and the annlation barges are better of the doomscythe.

Ghost ark is way better. The GA has good synergy with warriors and is very durable. Loads of mobile gauss flayer shots is always fun.
The doomsday ark's use is situational at best. Not being able to move and fire means you don't get a jink save and the gun itself (not the way yours is modeled, since you're magnetizing it) is low to the ground and can't los anything unless placed on high ground. It's also expensive and a sitting duck.
Unless you play games without any los blocking structures or area terrain, the ghost ark wins hands down.

Going to have to agree that the Ghost Ark has more utility than the Doomsday Ark. The Doomday Ark doesn't add much to a Necron army given that your basic infantry can already glance the crap out of vehicles and you have tesla weaponry to wear down any sort of heavy infantry from the sheer amount of saves they'll have to take. Factoring this alongside its expensive cost compared to the Annihilation Barge, relative immobility and the prevalence of cover in most games makes Doomsday Arks pretty lacklustre.

Winner!
Although you can't make that from the standard Ark kit...
I'm going to have to go with Ghost Ark as well. Volume of fire is king in the meta, and it can pump out a lot of shots. It's also great for keeping warriors alive, and is one of the very few 4 HP vehicles, as well as having a 5+ cover save for moving.
A lot of armies still have issues with AV13, so use that to your advantage.

Doomsday Ark might be the worst Heavy Support choice we have in our codex, 1- Annihilation Barge
2- Spyders
3- Doomscythe
4- Monolith
5- Doomsday Ark
... so yeah, not that one.

The biggest problem with the doomsday ark is that it can't move if you want to fire its good shot. It's secondary shot is terrible and having a long range artillary that needs line of sight is difficult cause on a board with even minimal LOS blocking terrain your opponent can easily hide from it forcing it to re-position. The doomsday ark is unreliable in the damage it inflicts in the game and is largely dependent upon poor positioning from your opponent. That plus the fact that the necrons have such an amazing and reliable heavy support option in the annhilation barge makes it a costly risky option.
The Ghost ark on the other hand, while not the best transport available can be successfully used if you build your core around it, utilizing its special ability to replace warriors and its open topped nature to have occupants advance quicker while still firing at full capacity.

Ghost Arks are really only good in smaller games, methinks. In larger games it gets easily mixed up with other troops in blasts and destroyed. And D3 units back per round loses its potency at a certain point level.
Whereas stationary Large Blast lazcannons present a (points costly) conondrum to the opposing player. Is it a target priority, or not?
They are fun models to play, in my opinion, in larger games. Of course, for points efficiency, I think they are the lowest option available, but wth, you have one with your magnetization. Play it sometime in a high points game.

Just wanting to second this opinion. Ghost Arks are awesome in lower point games but tends to just get stranded by stray blasts at higher points. Not played a lot with doomsday arks but if you can get it to high ground it becomes a potent threat.
Just play around a bit and see what works for you. I tend to favour Tesla immortals backed by harbingers of destruction for troops and annihilation barges and maybe a doom scythe for heavy support.

Reiterating:
Doomsday Arks should ONLY be considered for high point games.
(and even then, only if you've got a specific plan for them. You don't just throw a D.Ark into a list and expect it to work)

The only way doomarks works is if you park them on top of a skyshield for 4++ and a better vantage point. but paying 75 points just to make a tank playable is not good

Doom Arks are too situational for my tastes. They are only really effective if there isn't a lot of BLOS terrain on the field.
The Monolith is more useful, since you can teleport reinforcements to the front lines with it.

Honestly, I think it depends on your Typical tables as well. I play with a lot of LOS blocking terrain, so DD arks are really a no-go.
Ghost Arks work great in a AV 13 wall list, which depending on your meta, can be quite viable. They can be useful in low and highpoint games.
