Okay, having to take an hq & 2 troops minimum for a game, what is the lowest point value (total), no upgrades, no transports, etc?
Not asking for individual points or anything specific, just figuring out with all the points left over, how many Scions can fit into a 2k list, and if they can get transports...
(FYI - Scions will be elites choices, 1 elite choice can be 1 to 3 sqauds of 5 to 10 PLUS a command squad (if desired) of 5 men. Base squad is 130 pts (10 man squad) & command is 85 pts, with max upgrades one adds 35 pts & 40pts for the other. So Elite 1 - 3x A ten man squads fully upgraded & 1 command fully upgraded = 550pts (35 Scion models). 3 Elites = 1650 pts...(105 Scions)...)

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I am thinking 2 elite choices of scions, each has 2 squads of 10 & command of 5 (25 models) 335 pts each elites choice maxed out, and 6 Valkyries 600 plus points...about 1300+ points...

If that is right, 200 pts, a third elites like 1 & 2 could almost be added.... hmmmm "Elysian" Drop Trooper Army me thinks is possible....

They can deep strike so no need to go too over board on flyers. Plus you need to keep some of the troops alive encase your aircraft dont come in on time.

I thought the CCS was cheaper than a Lord Commissar.

I thought a CCS was ~20 points cheaper?
From my in the head calculations I get 190, with no upgrades.

Or, if you just want STs, it might be worth going for the Militarium Tempestus codex, which will likely have them as troops, and possibly even a ST-CCS option. I imagine Vendettas will be included.
