Hey was at a tournament recently.
Came 6th :(

But in my 2nd match something happened that struck me as odd.
My opponents Mawloc came in on turn two and he deep striked into my bastion. Inside the bastion was 10 guardians.
He had to double attack (I know this is fine and legal faced the Mawloc before) but I wasn't sure if he could deepstrike attack into the bastion.
I thought he would be attack the fortification rather than the Guardians inside.

The second part of my question is regarding MC's in buildings.
Can they enter buildings? I wasn't aware they could. As far as I was aware they were treated as immobile transport and I know they can only hold infantry models.
I was wondering if Stronghold Assault had changed anything like that.
It's just this would change the outcome of the match and my place in the tournament from 6th to 2nd!!!

So you think you're tough, eh?
Just wait till I attack you with my radio-active Carrot!

Only three things have permission to embark buildings:
Infantry
Jump Infantry (if using SA)
Jetpack Infantry (if using SA)

The Mawloc would have to resolve the attacks on the building, as there is no permission to DS inside the building to hit the Guardians.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Mawloc's hits would be resolved against the bastion not the inside. He can't damage it, so it would have misshaped.

Also Mawloc can only deep strike onto ground level. Can't deep strike onto upper level of ruins or say on top of the bastion's battlements. This rule is what nullifies much of the effectiveness of the Mawloc. A gunline just needs to deploy on the upper level of terrain, and now is unreachable to the mawloc's ability.
