Ok so a little after action report...
My opponent brought the following
Shadowsun
Commander decked out
Three bodyguards w/Shadowsun
3x 12 Fire Warriors
3x 16 Kroot
2x 5 Pathfinders
2 Broadsides
2 Hammerheads
Game: Big Guns Never Tire w/5 Objectives
Deployment Type: Vanguard Strike
He had first turn and I did not seize the initiative
Turn 1
Each side lost some of their models but not entire units and it was fairly sound movements for positioning
The first two Drop Pods came in but the one with the Flamer and Vet Sarg misshaped and I rolled for it to go back into on going reserves
Turn 2
Tau rolls for his reserves and gets Shadowsun w/Body Guards and one unit of Kroot
He places Shadowsun right behind my Razerback but too close to my bikes and misshaped rolling a 1 and destroying he and the squad for Warlord and First Blood! So devastating to his grand plan for the greater good :/ (+2

He outflanks his Kroot to his side of the board and the get a few shots through to the marines but we made our saves
He kills off the reminding of the my Devastators and gains (+

I roll for reserves and received the Legion do the Damned and the third pod but not my Stormwing :(
I fire everything I have at one of the Hammerheads and blow it up...he forgot to move it last turn to get jink (+1

Turn 3
The rest of his reserves come on and outflank on my side to kill my Missile Launcher tactical squad and score the objective.
He does a few more wounds to some of my marines but doesn't knock out the squads or causes them to far back
He is currently sitting on four objectives and I'm sure he has victory
I roll of the Stormwing and it still doesn't come in! This time it hurts as I'm starting to lose my footing for the win...
The drop pod with the Flamer and Vet Sarg move forward to one of the objectives and roasts a handful of Firewarriors and the Vet Sarg kills himself with the Plasma Pistol...We then charge forward and kill the warriors to secure an objective
The Legion and a lone marine unload into 12 Firewarriors and kill all but two but finished them in a charge
My bike turn around to engage and kill the Kroot...end up winning combat and sweeping them off the field
Turn 4
He does some shuffling destroys my razorback for his Kroot to score that objective (I was blocking them from the three inch requirement)
His Riptide overcharges but gives himself a wound and the power still goes off for a 3++
He turbo boosts his Hammerhead forward to score another objective and now I'm starting to sweat...he is currently on 4 objectives
Finally the Stormwing comes in and come right in front of one of the last Kroot squads...they fire everything they got and wipe them clean off the board
The Legion runs forward with only three marines left and shoots two out of the three Firewarriors left on the entire field off the board causes his lone warrior to flee
This leaves him with two objectives
Turn 5
His lone warrior regroups thanks to bonding knife and secures the objective he fled from
He fires everything he has at the three Legionaries and they make every save (was like 25+ wounds)
I move the Stormwing forward right in front of the lone Hammerhead...we unload everything we have and he finally fails his last four jink saves for an explosion! (+1

The Legionaries failed to kill the lone warrior and weren't in range to assault
We roll to see if the game ends and it does on a 2
Space Marines = 8 (First Blood, Warlord, Line Breaker, 2 Heavies, and 1 Objective)
Tau = 7 ( 1 Heavy and 2 Objectives)
