Crimson Hunter- 2x Bright Lance- 160 points.

HEAVY SUPPORT

Wraithknight- 2x Heavy Wraithcannon- 240 points.
Wraithlord- 2x Bright Lance, 2x Flamer, Ghostglaive- 165 Points.

TOTAL
1996 points.

I plan to deploy forward and move to gain early board controll. Target priority for my shooting will go towards anything with ID or Poison. Ghostwalk Matrices on the Serpents will let me park in Ruins for a 3+ cover save. The Wraithseer will be giving the Wraithlord FNP or Fleet if I really need to make a long charge.

One thing I thought about doing was dropping one crimson hunter and 5 Dire Avengers for a unit of Wraithguard with a Spiritseer. I stand a lot to gain from Voice of Twilight, but I am not sure if I can afford to lose the AA with only 2 Serpents in the list. What do you think, Dakka?

The Twilight Zone

Solid. All of that T8 is going to be a bear for anything short of dark eldar. Vendettas and night scythes could be an issue, so I would keep both fighters.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

What will your tactic be vs Daemon Flying Circus? Just curious.

Flying circus would give this list some trouble for sure. Depending on the powers and gifts he rolls, I may have to deploy further back and stall until my Crimson Hunters show up. While I do come up short in the number of grounding tests I will have, I do have the advantage of not having to worry too much about Vector Strikes with all the T8 on the board. Once the Hunters do show up they should shut down the Grimoire pretty quick. I have found that Crimson Hunters perform very well against FMCs because they are faster, and more agile. With careful positioning, they wont have to worry about vector strike either.

iirc, To take a wraithseer, I believe you need a single squad of wraithguard in the list.

I'd make the Wraithseer your warlord, and have him cast FNP on himself. If you roll his warlord trait on Iyanden, you can end up with a REALLY hard to kill Warlord. I've had mine take down a Thirster in CC, as he had fortune, for a rerollable 5++ and FNP ontop of that. He just whittled the Thirster down with his MC glaive until it was dead.

The wraithseer cannot cast FnP on himself, or WK unfortunately.

Also looking at the Forgeworld book I don't believe you need a unit of WG to take him.
