Hello everyone,
Without naming names, here is my situation -
I pre-order a Imperial Knight and an Imperial Knight codex for one of those nice online folks that offer 30% off, I am aware that delivery times aren't that great with these guys but I was prepared to wait.
A month goes by and my pre-order and stated delivery time of 2 weeks is blown out the window, I emailed to enquire about when I could be expecting the order. I got no response, so I decided to cancel the order and ask for a full refund including postage.
I get a nice email apologizing for the delay, and confirming my order was cancelled. No money refunded. I wait a few days and ask when I would be expecting a refund? Response -"we are looking into it, its an admin problem, we'll let you know more soon" no refund, turns out soon was not soon, 15 days go by since I cancelled the order, and no further response.
I really want to know what my opinions are, I know the maximum time legally to offer a refund is 30days, what should be my course of action after that? I paid via their SAGE Pay website, should I get onto them? Can there really be a problem with granting a refund? surely this happens all the time?
Haven't had this sort of thing happen to me, does anyone have any experience in such thing?
many thanks
SJM.

If the payment was made using a credit card, raise it through them.
If through a direct bank payment, try them.
Sort out a timeline with communications to and fro, and any promises and changes to the order.
It might be worth naming, as anyone else in your position can help out.

not suggesting you've not already done this
but check every place that the refund could have gone back onto as they sometimes appear where we aren't expecting it to
eg it could be in you bank account or the credit card used to fund/linked to payment method rather than in the payment method itself
(I've seen people get caught out like this with paypal refunds and looking stupid as a result... not sure if you'd get the same issues with SAGE)

I would kinda like it if you would name names, so I can avoid giving that company my money.

Couldn't you just add this to one of the existing Total Wargamer threads?

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.” |

My thoughts exactly, I don't even think your speculation qualifies as speculation, let alone wild!
